If Sampson is dismissed, it is due to him consistently violating the rules, no matter how minor the rule, in the sceme of things, might be. He violated NCAA recruiting policies at Oklahoma by making 577 (or something like that) improper phone calls to recruits and was placed on probation. Then, while at Indiana, he and his assistants made 100 or so improper phone calls; the same types of calls that landed him probation previously.
Rules are rules. An employee stealing from his employer isn't as serious as an employee murdering a co-worker, obviously. But both would result in his or her dismissal from her job. It's Indiana's call how the handle the situation, not the NCAA's. The NCAA is merely enforcing the rules that ALL schools must comply with. |

Whitlock sticks up for his friend and actually accuses Bob Knight of cheating in order to diminish what Kelvin has done, imo!

Check the thread where there were two sports fans bashing both Omahan and vranged. Not only to me, it all get's old.
The scoreboard between who? Mud slinging scoreboard or a scoreboard of who made the strongest arguement regarding a sports subject?
If you are referring to mud slinging...I'll give you that market all to yourself.
Some of the things you post you will be held accountable for by your maker just as we all will.
Like I advised you recently, step away from the computer and take a look at what you typed....I doubt very seriously you would want that print to be indicative of the actual you.

And Kelvin Sampson is the only guy who lost his job as a result of it. I don't care how many offenses it was.

And, as for the little or no coaching resume...Coach Sampson possesses the highest winning percentage in Oklahoma history (.721). He guided OU to eight consecutive 20-win seasons. He averaged 25.0 wins over those eight campaigns and 26.0 victories over the last six years. |
