Although tied for the lead...I knew from the outset that my bracket was built on high risk, high reward.....and Duke's first game now makes me think I am gonna be dropping starting tomorrow.
And I knew....knew....I should have taken K-Sux and Western Can-tucky...the only two I marked, then changed.

Posted By Omahan on 03/21/2008 7:42 PM Your bracket isn't that bad Bugeater. I'm in last place after picking St. Mary's, Kent State, Drake and a few other ones. DMan slides in after the first round in last place. I don't think I can make up the ground even if KU won it all because another picked KU to win it all. Michigan State holds all my hope of comeback in my brackets. Go Spartans!
Eh, you're only 5 pts behind the leaders, it's probably too early to write anyone off. It's all about damage control in the first couple of rounds. |

So far so good for me for my two teams in the NC game. Everything else is a trainwreck for my brackets.
But with those two left, I have hope! |

| You're not in terrible shape at this point, you need to watch the "possible points" column. Egami, Crusher and Seahawk are all in trouble because they've lost FF and championship game teams. Crusher had Duke going all the way so he's probably done unless something ridiculous happens. |

I always take Duke....and it usually bites me in the ass. But, aside from them I am doing pretty well, which is why I still am towards the top. I knew Duke was a risk, but ever since they beat UNLV in 1991 they have been my tourney team....could not give up on them this year. I am pretty happy with the Big XII performances this year. No upsets yet in the first weekend....K-State pulled a minor upset over USC...Texas A&M almost pulled the upset of the weekend last night....Texas should make the Sweet 16 and, while I do not expect it, it would be nice to see OU pull off the upset today. How did the YM(v)CA league that CU plays in do Matt? Just wondering. With those RPI's, I am sure they did fabulous. |

Duke was one of my final four...what the hell was I thinking???
As long as the Heels keep rolling and everybody else left holds serve, I'll be hanging 'round... |

I just didn't think NC had it together going into the tournament, what with barely winning the conference championship tournament, and Bruce Pearl seemed to have the Vols playing well and geared to make a run......or so I thought.
I certainly wasn't counting on Louisville winning that game last night.
Other than those 2 blunders (Pitt & Tenn), I really wasn't much worse off than anyone else. |
