iowa, notre dame and nebraska could have very similar seasons.

So far Logan you resemble the old Meatloaf song, "Two out-of-three ain't bad"

Too funny. To quote another thread here...

Again, your opinion. Not gospel. The season isn't even halfway over and you've got it all figured out.

So NU's season isn't even halfway over and you've got it all figured out? Typical Dwight.

DMan,

Iowa is not very good this year, Notre Dame is terrible but your team just played and won today to avoid finishing last in the Big 12 North. Do you really have any room to dis another team in another conference?

Get a clue!

At least his team is winning...

You don't have the entire receiving corps. You lost Chandler who was 2nd in yardage and lead in TD's despite his tendancy to drop passes. You also lost Sims who isn't as good as Young, but gave him time to catch a breath.

You are also losing your team leader in Drew Tate and say what you will about Christensen, but he isn't tested.

After it's said and done, I bet Tate has better stats at Iowa, but we can wait on that one.

There is nothing to suggest the o-line is overly improved when they lost Yanda and Elgin.

While they should be better this season with an easier schedule I'll be surprised if they improve on their 58th ranked offense from last season.

Then again, it is one of the weaker NCAA schedules in a BCS conference.

I can see a 9, 10, or 11 game win record this year. The defense will be very hard to score against and the running game will open up the passing game.

Wisconsin will probably be better than Ohio State this year and Penn St is possibly a Top 10 or an easy Top 15 pick. By seasons end they will have played 5 possibly 6 bowl bound teams.

I predict Hawkeye Nation will be taking a trip to the Capital One Bowl or Outback Bowl on New Years day or even the Alamo Bowl.

So, I hope Hawkeye Nation is buying those tickets now...they might need them to get into a bowl this year.

Egs,

Last year was a disaster, no doubt about it. The one big complaint about last year's coaching job was that Ferentz went to the "other" senior QB when Tate went down, when Christensen should have been playing. Not that it would have made much of a difference in the win column, but it would have given this year's starting QB some more game experience.

I believe Iowa showed what they could do in their bowl game against Texas last year. Full scrimmage preparation, a healthy Tate and alot of fire all season long, would have gone a long ways for that team last year, and I think the coaching staff realized that they were not doing their jobs in preparing those kids to take the field last year......a mistake I see being corrected this year.

You can knock the Hawkeyes all you want, and I'll say it here and now. If they don't win 9 plus games with that schedule, and that defense, it will be a huge disappointment, way more than last years fiasco.

I guaranty the Hawkeyes will come to play this year.

Your Wolverines better just focus on winning enough games to keep their coach.

Although, I'll admit I was wrong...I said the Hawks would have 4 or 5 losses...I should of said wins.

Indiana is probably the No. 3 team in the country and the pollsters just don't know it yet! How'd I do Huskers?

You know...Indiana looks better than I ever thought they would this year. They'd probably beat us.

I wish I could fight back against this post to defend my team, but I can't. You've basically summarized what "embarrassing Husker fan" (hereinafter referred to as "DMANS") has been doing all season.

Almost lose to WF -- "toughest 0-2 team in the country". Almost lose to Ball St. -- excuse after excuse after excuse.

With DMANS, it's never "We're not as good as I thought we'd be". That's not even a possibility in their warped, disillusioned, ignorant minds. And that's why they humiliate the hell out of practical fans.

Everyone usually has a family member with problems that they're somewhat embarrassed about. For most of Husker nation, it's the DMANS -- there just happen to be a lot of them, unfortunately.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

There are encouraging, hopeful 4-1's and there are scary, smoke-and-mirrors 4-1's. Tim, can you honestly say the Huskers record isn't the latter? Iowa State outgained Nebraska. Ball State outgained Nebraska, and had to have a receiver drop a ball wide open in the middle of the field to hand us victory. Come on. Don't become a DMAN.

Yes, Nebraska won the games. I have no defense to that. The Huskers won. But you shouldn't have any defense to the fact that we've played like crap so far, against bad teams, which is not indicative of great things for this season, which DMANS still tend to believe.
