You just got 76 hung on you this week. That is a colossal embarassment. Dman, I told you Nebraska looked like they were going to lose out. You said no way. I bet even you are rethinking that right now. Originally I thought it was better to keep the coaching staff in place through the season and fire Callahan after the last game, but if I am TO...I really, really rethinking that position right now. |

The thing about today's game is that the offense played a pretty good game until about the middle of the third period when they were forced to throw on every friggin down because the defense was so horribly inept. How they allowed Kevin Cosgrove on the team bus after the game blows my mind. That guy should be thumbing a ride home after this performance. I've seen better defensive performances from 8-man teams. And I realize there are a lot of key people hurt on defense, but 10 straight touchdown drives? That is a level of pathetic that I can't even put my brain around. At this point, it really makes no difference whether or not the team is coached by the current staff or the janitors in the Devaney Center. |

| Meh. It doesn't really matter at this point, the season is a loss. At least I can find solace in the fact that this staff isn't leaving any doubt about what needs to happen. |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

Once again, NU sinks to a new level of suck. They are so utterly pathetic in every aspect of the game, that even a 'sker hater such as myself doesn't want to kick them for fear of getting some of the ick on my boots. That said, give Beau a few more seasons. His offense is so complex, it'll take time for the players to fully learn and you'll see this thing start to turn around! Sadly, the national media doesn't agree with me: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/7404322 (Just keep him the fvck away from Tampa Bay is all I ask...) |

That article hits the nail squarely on the head. This was SUPPOSED to be the year the Huskers returned to national prominence, and what we have in its place is something that looks more like Notre Dame -- all talk and no results. I don't think that it's going to make a difference one way or another if B.C. and Co. are let go today, tomorrow, or 10 minutes after the end of the Colorado game. The defense is so beat up right now that I don't think they could stop Kearney High School, let alone Kansas State or Colorado. A change will be coming. Callahan is a dead coach walking in Lincoln right now, and there is no way he is coming back next year. |

Somewhere out there a coach is smiling! Like few before him this mans name recognition is so great you need only mention him by his first name and sports fans know who you refer to. That man is F - R - A - N - K! |

As a long time Iowa State fan, I can only say. Get used to it. It's about time that Nebraska fans get to experience that sense of despair that comes every Saturday morning before a game. I thank God as a Oakland Raider and Iowa State fan that Bill Callahan came to Nebraska. And I hope that Tom Osborne fires Callahan and takes over as head coach, so that used up old fart can get beaten down by K State and Colorado, like he deserves. |

I heard it was the most points given up by a Husker team in its history. I'm guessing short history, cause didn't Texas Tech put 70 up on them a few years back?
Callahan contiues to make history at NU. How can you, in good concious, get rid of a guy who has set so many records in recent years? |

LOL, bitter much? We'll NEVER drop to ISU's level. We demand better, plus we have better fan support and facilities. This year will be the exception, not the rule, so you're the one who needs to "get used to it". |

Now if ISU wants to crow about wrestling...THEN they've got something on Nebraska. That's about it, though... |

Psst! Crit! 76 is MORE than 70. (That means it was the most points put up on a NU team in history.) Sorry - couldn't resist! |

Well, yes. I would say that is fairly obvious. 76? It is surreal to believe that NU gave up TD's on 10 straight possessions. Now it isn't just coaching. The Defense is just not in place atal. Titus had LeKevin and Ola had Barry recently inside to take the pressure off of double teaming. And Carriker & Moore are both playing on Sundays. Even so, replacing those guys and ending up with this pack of pussies is what is costing Coach his job. Dixon is a third down pash rusher at best, and despite all the hoopla coming in, Suh is highly overrated and cannot defend the run. Potter? Well, let me stop here. |

Don, newsflash for you, but no one...and I mean NO ONE, in college football has the hurdle to overcome that Iowa State does. As bad as it is in Nebraska now...if I were a Husker I'd contemplate suicide before switching allegiance to ISU. I've lived around the Ames area for a number of years and I've been to high school football games with better atmosphere. At least you guys finally have an AD and HC to put some hope in now though...I'll credit you that. |

LOL. Reideen, my math is fine. I guess my point was that I kept hearing it was the most in it's 115 year history (which it was), but that history, as it pertains to this record,is only a few years old. Wasn't Callahan the coach then also? |

Yes, the 70 point beat down from Tech happened during Beau's 1st season with NU. I'm not sure why 'sker fan doesn't like him - all he's done is set records since coming to the program. |

| in the last 4 years 70 points or more have been scored only 17 times in division 1-a. 2 teams have given up more than 70 twice in that time frame. nebraska and temple. i'm glad that notre dame's offense is what really sucks and not their defense. |
