I can't stand the Red Sox. Most arrogant/annoying fan base in sports I think. Is there some unwritten rule that I'm supposed to feel sorry for their past or something? Both the Cubs and Cleveland have a better case. White Sox are the scum of the AL Central though. P.S NYY are not helping me with my hate for the Red Sucks |

Cornhuskers the winningest college football program of the last 50 years, both by winning percentage and number of wins.

But which WS champion has the highest payroll off all time?

| The Denver Broncos. Why? Because they're a bunch of salary-cap-cheating illegal-cut-blocking cheap shot artists. |

As a kid, it was simple -- Oklahoma because Barry "Bootleg Boy" Switzer always seemed to yank victory out of the jaws of defeat when they played the Huskers. These days, there isn't a team I actively HATE...but several I'd like to see disappear from their respective leagues: NFL -- Dallas Cowboys. America's team my azz...any time Dallas gets beat (or chokes gimme field goals in playoff games), it's good for the NFL and civilization in general. NBA -- Honestly, I couldn't give a crap about pro hoops anymore. Used to hate the Lakers back when the NBA was worth watching and Showtime ruled the league, but it hasn't been worth watching since Jordan left the second time. MLB -- The Yankees, only because King George is a pompous, arrogant, free-spending moron who overspends for overrated talent and then wonders why his team never wins the big one. NASCAR -- Jeff Gordon. Jimmie Johnson is a close second, but the Busch boys are really coming hard down the backstretch. If all four could be involved in a massive pileup at Rockingham and be unable to drive again for 10-20 years, I don't think there would be a problem with that. |

Those same Chiefs didn't fare as well as a team during the time period Plummer was with the Broncos. 2003 - Denver - 10W 7L - KC 13W 4L 2003 1 - 1 in heads up match ups 2004 - Denver 11W 7L - KC 7W 10L 2004 1 - 1 in heads up match ups 2005 - Denver 14W 4L - KC 10W 6L 2005 1 - 1 in heads up match ups 2006 - Denver 9W 7L - KC 9W 8L 2006 1 - 1 in heads up match ups Overall Denver 44 - 25 Kansas City 39 - 28 |

| That's not exactly what I would call a significant difference in overall records there Mr. Dukester. Now, on the other hand, if you brought up playoff appearances and wins.... |

Plummer in my opinion was not the answer to "who is the next John Elway" however most teams in the NFL including Kansas City would have been elated to have the record Denver had with Plummer at the helm. I do predict that Jay Cutler will take them to a level that Plummer never could. |

| I have always loved to hate the New York Yankees. Yankees of Mantle era were players. Today the pocket book and lack of caps is primarily what makes the Yankees the most hated team in any sport. I hope that (won't happen) one day a salary cap will come to fruition in MLB and the Yankees will have to rely upon sound decision making from their management team and a little Irish luck like everyone else. I must confess though, I am a Derek Jeter fan. That guy can just flat out ball. |

How about switching it up. Worst fans you've ever encountered firsthand: 1. Colorado football 2. Southern Illinois basketball 3. Kansas State football 4. Oakland Raiders football 5. Miami Hurricanes football Best fans, firsthand encounters (where you're cheering for road team): 1. Notre Dame football (hate to say it, but they were great) 2. Iowa football 3. Iowa State football 4. St. Louis Cardinals baseball Most annoying fans, in general: 1. Boston Red Sox 2. New York Yankees 3. NASCAR (sorry, guys!) |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

| Irony for me V is the K State fans. Are they really that bad? I went last October to Manhattan and had a blast! A few comments here and there but nothing to take to the bank. Now Boulder. That's an adventure everytime we go there. And the last stop there took the cake. It was chaos! And SIU wins at home, maybe the Jay Fan needs to steal a page from the Salukis fan book... |

Not saying that Saluki fan isn't passionate. Carbondale appears to always be a great basketball environment. But based on my encounters with Saluki fan in St. Louis for the MoValley tourney, they are always a-holes. I hate to generalize (no I don't), but they're all hicks. And boy do they hate Omaha/Creighton.
As for KState, I've only been to Manhattan once (about 6 years ago), and the fans were awful. There was a parking lot where a bunch of vehicles with Nebraska license plates were keyed, or had their tires slashed. I was down there with a pretty big group of people, who, of course, hit the bars afterwards. There's only so much abuse one can take, so inevitably a couple fights broke out. Cops came. Not pleasant. |

In response to Vranged's post: Worst fans you've ever encountered firsthand: Went to see a Vikings/Packers game in the Metrodump a few years ago, and the Packer fans were pretty damn lippy for being in enemy territory. Luckily Viking fans aren't very passionate. Best fans, firsthand encounters (where you're cheering for road team): OK State-Stillwater is a kickass little town with great people. I've always been treated well by OU fans as well. Most annoying fans, in general: Raider fans, with Domers a close second. |

Fans? Well, Red Sox and Yankees fans can get pretty obnoxious with the whole "World revolves around us" attitude that creeps in. But Notre Dame is the worst. Nobody has a greater sense of entitlement and is more obnoxious about it. Teams? Atlanta Falcons-- My Bucs haven't been in the division that long, so there hasn't been time to develop the full rivalries yet, but I have to hate a team with a syphillitic stoner quarterback who abuses dogs for fun and profit. Allegedly. LA Lakers -- I used to like them during the days of Magic. But, Kobe has spoiled them for me. San Francisco Giants -- It was even more fun to dislike them when they had Bonds AND Kent. Still hate them. Dallas -- Another team that gets crammed down people's throats as if they had more fans than they actually do. |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |
