So Lets see you say ND is a different team now compared to when Game day went to both NU VS ND two years in a row.

I then point out that just two years ago ND was ranked in the top 10 then you say I am reaching. I guess I missed the rule on when a team is “Not the same.”

Is it 2,3,4 Years let us know so we can all be on the same page?

BTW: Still waiting for you to explain this?

i was watching espn friday evening and saw the rocket give up a homer to a single a player as well as a few other hits. maybe he's just rusty or maybe he's like a lot of other guys that come out of retirement and is way past his prime.

FYI Logan.. He was not retired he started late last year with Houston as well.

teams are no longer the same when they have different players and coaches. from one year to the next teams can be different than they were the year before. let me know if i can assist you with any more 3rd grade definitions.

why didn't he start spring training with houston? perhaps it was a sabbatical. either way i haven't heard any rave reviews about his "return" to the yankmes.

save yourself some time tim. i have torn you apart every time you have tried to attack me. you lack the spelling skills let alone the wit to keep up with me.

Chad, bud -- I don't want to harp on this issue, but do you really think that's how you spell those words? Really?

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

GameDay will try to balance the desire to showcase the best game of the week with the business need of promoting games on their own family of networks (ABC, ESPN and ESPN2).

The Trojans will start the season at #1, and the Huskers look to come into this game 2-0 with a ranking around 15-18th. The game is already confirmed for 8:00 pm on ABC. It would also be Gameday's first trip back to Lincoln since the OU game in 2001.
Notre Dame at Michigan and Tennessee at Florida. If Notre Dame can upset Georgia Tech and Penn State in weeks 1 and 2, then it may not be in Lincoln also there are several games that look appealing for visits to Michigan's campus this year so even early ND momentum may not keep the GameDay crew away. Tennessee at UF looks unlikely as it's a CBS game. As far as ISU VS Iowa.........My guess would be a big NO WAY!!!!!

For all intensive purposes, I think you are way off base here.

Nothing bigger then then a competitive inter-state rivalry in which recruiting dominants hinges on one game.

I don't believe the annual Iowa beatdown of the Cyclones is worthy of a game day visit.

Ummmm year 6-3 in tISU favor the last 9 is an annual beatdown.

Maybe next time you should try a little research.

How about this for research, Iowa leads the series 36 - 18, which includes last years beat down of the CyClowns.

Please Cyclown, lets not pick and choose what part of history you quote from.

Need I say more!

let me go nice and slow here for you timmy. you asked what will he bring to the yankmes. i pointed out that i saw him pitch terribly in single a ball. most could make the connection. however, in your case i'll spell it out. if he's not performing well in single a because he's washed up he won't perform well in the majors because he's washed up. any questions timmy?

Looks like it will be easy to figure out the locations of game day this year.
A new lineup of voices will be heard during a majority of ESPN and ABC college football broadcasts this season.
“Saturday Night Football” on ABC will bring in Kirk Herbstreit as an analyst for all games this season, along with the familiar voices of commentator Brent Musburger and reporter Lisa Salters.

Yeah I know that Kirk could get on a plane and fly to the Location of the night game but my guess would be that that is highly unlikely. So if ABC is in town for the Night game I would guess that the ESPN guys will be in town as well.

they did fly herbstreit around quite a bit last season but your point does make economic sense for abc/espn. however, one would have to think that flying herbstreit around is a small drop in a somewhat large bucket.

Herbstreit was color-commentating ESPN's/ABC's night games last year as well. He would start his day at the Game Day location, get on a plane, and fly to the destination of the night game, if it was not at the site of Game Day. It is certainly not a given that the Saturday Night Football location is going to be the site of the Game Day broadcast, but I would venture to guess that those Saturday Night Football games are selected based on the quality of the game and rivalries, while Game Day selection is based on National Ranking implications at that point in the season.

I would classify the Iowa vs. Iowa State game as a good Saturday Night Football game but not so much a Game Day broadcast location.

Counting the Herd one hoof at a time.
