If being a loud mouth is a qualification standard then he has my vote!

Isn't that the same guy that was whining about not getting tickets and hotel rooms to games? Ah, yes! He's the guy for the job! You're a complete idiot Logan.

I'd rather have Tommie Frazier than V-Jack.
And, considering the low regard I have for his head coaching career, you'd have an idea of how big that statement is.
VJ is fine in his limited role on Huskers Monday. But he's said more than enough things that make me say, "WTF?" that lead me to think he'd be in way, way over his head.

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin

If this loud mouth whiner was capable of anything more than being an assistant for Boys and Girls club he wouldn't be spending every Monday uttering nonsense on Matty's show for free. Nothing more than an ex jock that can't get over his time in the sun. We get it VJ... you weren't appreciated by Pederson et al.... now he's been fired and we're all happy about it... now give it a rest.

Yeah, this would be worse than Callahan.

once again dwight your lack of reading comprehesion skills shine through. i didn't say i thought he would make a good interim coach. i was asking people what they would think of him as a coach. i then made the observation he has some passion, unlike beau. maybe you should go back to school and get another masters, this time in english.

Callahan doesn't lack passion. It was only a year ago that that may have been the one of the few things I would've gave coach credit for. Last year and prior to that, NU players laid it on the line for coach. This year, they quit. Passion became his achilles, it wasn't before. You know nothing Logan.

Callahan just plain lacks the ability to be a HC. It's not really anything singular. Kind of hard to explain really...like Norv Turner. Brilliant OC, but put the guy at the helm and he can't steer the ship to save his life.

Callahan's HC days are most likely done and I doubt he's an extremely hot commodity in general.

I'm not sure it's fair to say he lacked passion. Even in the Tuesday press conference the players were very positive and upbeat about Callahan. Certainly they aren't going to throw him under the bus while he's still driving, but I felt it was most genuinely sincere that the respect and appreciate the guy, so there is some merit to his character and leadership ability.

the only time i've seen beau have passion is when he was doing a throat slash gesture.

i know your definition of passion usually involves your army buddy and a ball gag but there are several definitions for the word. try looking it up.
