Great guests, great insight, great knowledge.

Yeah, he really sucks.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

Not sure what you are complaining about, dada402...did you hear that piss poor excuse for a program prior to Patrick? Then again, you clearly have your nose shoved up Matt's rear end, so you apparently can't distinguish good radio anyway...

He is boring. He brings NO energy to his show whatsoever.

Do you want energy or content? If he had a bunch of bells and whistles going off while he's interviewing Senator McCain, would that help?

As far as content goes, and hitting on the most serious issues in sports, I've always thought Dan Patrick was the best. And, he gets the biggest interviews. I think he could be more like Rome if he wanted, as far as entertainment-value, but that type of personality can be polarizing. He'd rather be content-based, then shock-value based.

Exactly...I'd take content without energy over energy without content any day.

Eh, make it the Michael Jackson Adult Alarm and we have a deal.

Why the hell would he be interviewing McCain anyway? I'd tune into Rush Limbaugh if I wanted to hear that.

It was about Congress's role in moderating sports. Very topical and relevant.

Get XM radio then. There's plenty of dumbed-down programming for people who don't care about being informed.

The thing with me is, I listen to the radio for entertainment purposes while I'm working. I'm not necessarily listening to it to be informed. I guess it's all in what you are looking for, and what Patrick brings I'm not interested in.

In fairness, Patrick should come with some sort of sticker about running your hand through a buzz saw.

Still better than that crap show that was on prior.

Patrick is an upgrade on the FSR show that was there before. Definitely.
My personal preference would still be for a local show, though.

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin

I look for entertainment in radio. If I wanted to be informed and insight, i'd do the research myself. That's what writers are for. Sports radio should be entertaining. And who says you can't be insightful and entertaining at the same time. Before Dan Patrick, I could be able to listen to 590 all day, from the guys before Out of Bounds all the way to J.T. the Brick.

I guess the majority of the sports radio listening world has ADHD right??
