Okie State 37, Nebraska 24
Until Nebraska proves me wrong that they have indeed turned the corner, simplefied things, and gotten back to the basics on both sides of the ball...I don't see them honestly winning another game all season long, and this is what you are going to get for predictions from me. I hope that I am wrong. I am a huge lifelong Husker fan but I am realistic. I actually shocked my best friend last Sunday to the point that he was almost speechless when he called and asked me what was going on with the Huskers, and I told him that exact thing...that I don't think they will win again this year. He has known me for a long time and has never ever heard me make such a bold statement. You know it's bad when you have your best offensive play of the game being called back due to holding early in the game and driving, and it seems like after that everyone just gave up. If the Huskers would have shaken that penalty off, and simply gone down and scored on that drive, it would have kept them in the game a little longer, maybe for a half or so. With that play erased, the best offense was 2 FG's and 6 punts (3 inside the 20, 2 inside the 10, and 1 inside the 5), but even that didn't stop the Tigers from getting out of trouble and it gave them even more yardage to chew up and spit out at will. You know it's bad when Chase Daniels compared the Blackshirts of not even being the equivalent of a high school game. You know it's bad when Suh breaks the nose of a teammate in practice the following week during an on-field altercation and now faces possibly a suspension. You know it's bad when the whole defense gets a face lift in mid-season. I know that there is still alot of ball to be played, but come on guys...realistically...Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas, Texas A&M, and Colorado. They are 4-2 now and could possibly be looking at 4-8. But I will still be a Husker fan. Like I said I hope I am wrong. I know that I am going to get ripped by Husker fans for this, but I am just speaking how I truly feel. As for my signature, I still have possibly 3 of them winning.

Yeah Reideen, Rose, Matt Davison, and Fiala are sounding like borderline tying a rope around their necks and jumping out of their pressbox windows. And to think that they brought in the '97 Championship team for motivation. I bet those guys are totally disgusted. To think that there is even the possibility of a comparison in teams is very downgrading to these guys. Okie State 17-0 before NU even gains a first down. Pathetic. They just mentioned about Castille being a wrecking ball and seeing more from him on this drive than the last 4 weeks. That is one thing that really amazed me about the USC game, they didn't play this kid at all. At least the Huskers are starting to move the ball at the end of the first quarter, beginning of the second. Go for 4th just outside the Cowboys 10 and they failed...still 17-0. BTW...Did anyone else find it funny last weekend after the Missouri game that they didn't have a fan call in session on 105.5 out of Fremont. I don't know if they just couldn't do it because of the time of morning or they were just that disgusted. Probably for the best though cause some of the stressed out callers would've probably blown a gasket and had heart attacks. Last week I was ready to shut off the radio before the game was over, but this week it might be off before halftime. 24-0 with alot of time left in the 2nd quarter. As for homecoming, Fans are leaving with 10:29 to play in the half. How many people are going to be getting a homecoming lay??? This team is friggin' pathetic!!!!! 2007's Championship Predictions: All of my favorite teams: Huskers, Rams, Suns, Avalanche, and Red Sox. Hey, can't a guy dream??? 200 |

holy sh!t!! 38-0 at the half. don't worry dman, i know your skers can mount a comeback. keller and lucky will turn it on and have a 600 yard 2nd half. the black shirts will man up more than you do when your army buddy is pounding you fast and hard and shut the cowpokes down in the second half. if the skers don't do this i'll shave my head and post a pic for all of you here to see. riiiiggghhhhttt.
that's how stupid you usually sound dwight. |

So Stevie P, Is this what falling to mediocrity is all about??? Having a full house on Homecoming, and most of them start leaving with 10:29 left in the half. Losing 38-0 with 1 minute left in the half, giving up 17 first downs to 5, and 361 yards to 95 in total offense. MY GOD MAN!!!!Get rid of this fool of a head coach and call someone who has some passion for the game. So what is the deal??? Do they fire the whole staff now or wait until the end of the season? Should we just forfeit the rest of the season? How many recruits are gonna decommit??? Why don't you just pack up and leave too Stevie??? This is pathetic. I am embarrassed for the players, and for the whole state of followers. You need to give season ticket holders a refund. You had the '97 Championship team on the sidelines. Have they already left too??? I bet they are all pissed off beyond belief. They need to go into that lockerroom and smack the sh*t out the current players, get them to pull their heads out of their asses. To teach your defense one defensive formation and that is it. What kind of way is that to coach? Fiala admitted to going through a few blowout losses in the 60's, and they asked Davison who never had a blowout put on one of his teams. He was a fortunate one in that he came as part of the 60-3 run. Now this is my new signature line: 2007's Updated Championship Predictions: Red Sox, Suns, and Avalanche. The dream has flown out the window. Huskers and Rams suck, but they are still my favorite teams. |

I don't know why Mizzou fan would be that excited about this considering it makes their win last week far less impressive. |

| mizzou putting the thump on the skers put them in this mental state to allow ok state to pummel them this way. mizzou isn't as worried about strenght of schedule as they are winning out. today will be there test. |

38-0 at the half?! Right now, this Husker team could not and would not compete with a D-II schedule. I just cannot believe any of you thought they might beat OK ST. They couldn't beat UNO! |

| Does anyone else see the sheer stupidity of Logan bashing NU while his ND team has 1 win. And Dukester bashing NU while his beloved Hawkeyes are 3-4. Misery loves company I know. But does a down year have to amount to a cup of stupid from the haters...evidently so. |

Iowa 3-4, with win over a ranked team Nebraska 4-3, Callahan no win over ranked teams in four years. Even in a down year. Ferentz could outcoach Callahan blindfolded. |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |

Ouch! Situations were vastly different for those two. Ferentz cupboards weren't completely empty when he arrived in Iowa City. Lincoln offered Joe Dailey & Co. to Callahan. I'm not defended his scripted crap, just that the scenarios were vastly different to start off with. |

Illinois was ranked 17th and Iowa's record is 3-4. This year's record has nothing to do with Joe Daily or 'the cupboards being bare'. Not sure what either of those things has to do with the current situation - Beau is in his 4th year - these are 'his guys' they should be able to execute on his offense. |
