Hey guys.
Anyone else in a fantasy football league? I got in one at work. My roster consists of Vince Young and Culpepper at QB, Bush, Buckhalter, and DeAngelo Williams at RB, Randy Moss and Dwayne Bowe at WR, Shockey and Matt Spaeth at TE, Kris Brown for my K, and on Defense I have Ernie Sims, Elvis Dumervil, Vanden Bosch, and Thomas Howard. We have 16 teams in my league and after week one I was the lowest scorer with a whopping 41.5 pts. Everyone else in the league scored at least 50. Since then, I have won 3 straight and am currently second in the league for 322 pts but 4th in the standings with a 3-1 record, and just 15 behind the points leader, who is 4-0 and I play against next weekend. Last week I was the high scorer of the league with 123.5 pts. My mid week moves last week paid off bigtime. I had Vince Young, Bush, and Vanden Bosch all having bye weeks, but I picked up Bowe, and Culpepper and started them. Them two combined for 46 fantasy points. Anyhow, I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.

I avoid fantasy football. It made me root for players & teams that went against my instincts as a fan. I found myself rooting for Steve Smith when the Panthers were playing the Bucs. At that point, I knew fantasy was wrong and I quit cold turkey.

We have a guy here at work who has team jackets from 6 - 7 different teams. I asked him which one he roots for. He sez 'none. I like individual players - not a team.' My response was, then you aren't a fan. You're a spectator.

Then again, he is a 'sker fan, so he can't be all that smrt.

Hmm puny, comic strip adoring sex offender. Yeah real mature. As far as foolish, I'm not sure where you got the idea I was a 'sker fan, but you're way off. (Next you'll tell us you were being sarcastic and were just posting such bs comments to 'get a rise out of us' when in actuality you really believe the things you write. You write the same thoughts too often for them to not be your real ideas/feelings.)

Either way, not very Catholic of you Dwight. Remember in Matthew 15:11 Christ specifically says that it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles the body; rather it's what comes out - such as hate, evil speech, and lies. You'd better get yourself to confession. Don't forget to donate to the 'Father needs a hot tub to seduce young boys' fund while you're there.

Question: "What does the Bible mean that we are not to judge others?"

Answer: It seems that whenever one person confronts another person over an issue, the statement "Do not judge!" comes up. Christians are often accused of "judging" in contradiction to what the Bible says whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses which state, "Do not judge." When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for their sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word ; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences - the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Just made a game day decision and dropped DeAngelo Williams and picked up Ron Dayne. Williams is clearly the second fiddle to DeShaun Foster. The Texans are playing against that Miami Defense that the Raiders ground game shredded last weekend. Even though he is sharing time with Sam Gado, I think that Dane will get the majority of the touches so I'm expecting a huge day from him. I also have Kris Brown for the Texans, and he has only missed 1 FG (I believe he's 8 of 9) and is I think 10 for 10 on XP's. Kind of nice having him now that the Texans are generating some competitive offense and getting the ball in the end zone. My whole team plays at noon today with the exception of Elvis Dumervil vs. the Chargers at 3:15, so I should have a rough idea tonight if I did any good or not, but will not find out my point total for the week until I get to work tomorrow and check it out.
I'm expecting VY to have a great day vs. Atlanta, Randy Moss vs. Cleveland, need I say more??? Dwayne Bowe vs Jacksonville...should be another 100 yard receiving outing, hoping that Reggie Bush really steps up in a big way in his first game with McAllister out. Through 3 games, he only has 80 yards rushing, 70 yards receiving and 12 yards in returns, so I am waiting for a breakout game from him. Shockey vs the Jets...very disappointed he hasn't been more productive, but it's not Shockey's fault. Eli just doesn't target him as much as you would expect.
On Defense, I have Ernie Sims vs. Washington, Vanden Bosch vs Atlanta, and Dumervil vs San Diego. Sims has been awesome. Last week he had 11 tackles, an interception, and a FF plus 2 pass deflections. I am hoping Vanden Bosch can get to Harrington for a few sacks today, and don't really know what to expect from Dumervil, but hoping for some points.

Well my friends,
Back down to reality after being the weeks high scorer last week. My Rams still suck and are still winless, but I guess if someone had to put the hatchet on them, I am glad that it was a former Ram. I'm talking about Kurt Warner. I will say that it was nice that they finally got some offense going though, and I did have a glimmer of hope for the 1st W. I don't have any Rams on my fantasy team because I dropped Isaac Bruce a few weeks ago.
Anyhow...
Vince Young 157 yards passing, unsure of how many rush yds, 0 TD's and 3 picks.
Randy Moss only 46 yards receiving and 0 TD's.
Dwayne Bowe...I haven't even heard his name mentioned today nor read anything about his day.
Reggie Bush 67 rush yards and 52 receiving yards with 0 TD's.
Jeremy Shockey finally got his 1st TD of the season.
Ron Dayne...Game day pick up had 40 yards rushing and the Texans only TD.
Kris Brown (today's big scorer for me) 1 XP and 5 for 5 FG's (20, 43, 54, 54, and 57 as time expired).
Ernie Sims...haven't heard anything, but I'm just guessing the Lions Defense was on the field alot, so there are possibilities for alot of tackles.
Kyle Vanden Bosch had a sack, unsure of total tackles.
Elvis Dumervil...Didn't hear his name mentioned today.
So I guess I am just hoping for the best. I was projected for 75 points though, but don't think I came close to that. My opponent is done except he still has Favre in tonight's game. Lots of QB's had 2-3 interceptions today so I am hoping that the Bears Defense picks off #4 a few times tonight.

You see, the difference between you guys & I is that I recognize my faults. .

Dwight, I owe you an apology. I didn't know that you recognized the fact that you are a delusional, myopic, punchline, non-sports knowing, high school peaking, hypocritical, lying, toolbag, bad Christian, hellbound, ignorant, creepy, joke of a sad, sad man.

Now that you've recognized those faults, the next step is to do something about them.

My suggestion: a full frontal lobotomy. You'll probably drool less, and make more sense.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

I wear my Rams shirt and Rams hat every Sunday and really do want them to win, but yeah when I have fantasy players on my team facing them, I also want them to do good so that I get points, just not good enough to win. Unfortunately, the few times this season that I had some guys play against the Rams, it back fired in my face in both cases. The Rams lost the game and Alex Smith and Arnaz Battle didn't get alot of points when I had them on my team and they played the Rams. Got kind of sick of Alex Smith not scoring anything so I dropped him and picked up Culpepper. At that point, there was a stat that over 100,000 Yahoo fantasy owners of Smith had dropped him.
For this week though, I scored 67 points which was enough to win and continue on with a 4 game win streak after being the leagues only team to not score at least 50 points in week 1. So I am 4-1, with 390 points, and there are 2 teams who are still undefeated and I play the league leader in points next week, who is one of the undefeated teams.
Kris Brown scored 23 points for me, just over 1/3 of my total points for the week. And what is even more amazing about his performance is the fact that he hurt his planting heel on the opening kickoff, yet still booted 2 54 yarders and the game winning 57 yarder en route to a 5 for 5 day. And the NFL long for the season before yesterday was 53. Brown is now 13 of 14 for FG's and 11 for 11 on XP's on the season. Vanden Bosch scored 10.5 pts, and Ernie Sims scored 8. Vince Young got me a -2. Gonna start Culpepper next week.
