Gold & Black will be the color of the uniforms that Mizzou QB Chase Daniels & TE Martin Rucker will be wearing. I am getting the feeling that after tonites late night ESPN televised game with Nebraska, both of these Tiger stalwarts will know thee other Blackshirt as they found out last season. While playing in Columbia has never been an easy task for any Nebraska team, it is time for the Blackshirts to step up and show that they are not as weak as they have shown in recent weeks. To show that they have schemes & talent to compete on foreign soil and compete well. They have the defensive gameplan to slow the Tiger offense enough to allow the offense to score some points.
After careful consideration of all the statistics of both teams, (factoring in last years game) and careful consideration of the level of talent Nebraska has on it's roster, I am tossing out a bone. NU will show up tonite fighting tooth & nail with the Tigers and Daniels will be scrambling all night for his life. Sam Keller will do what he does, make some plays that remind us of Sunday players and then regress and make plays that remind us of Joe Dailey. (Okay maybe not that bad!)
DMAN'S NEW AND STANDING PREDICTION:
NEBRASKA 24 MISSOURI 21
Blackshirts bend but do not break & Lucky has another solid ballgame.
Mizzou Tidbits:
Tigers 40 Illinois 34 - *Home Game Illinois is now 4-1
Tigers 38 Ole Miss 25 - Away Game Ole Miss is now 1-4
Tigers 52 Western Mich 24 - Home Game W Mich is now 2-3
Tigers 38 Illinois State 17 - Home Game Ill State is now 2-3
*Game played in St. Louis
Mizzou was outyarded by Illinois 435-429 overall and Ole Miss amassed 534 on them.

Not that I don't trust your word, but I am sure that others don't trust it so you better post a before and after picture because none of us know what you look like, so how would we know that you didn't just find a picture of Rob Halford, or Midnight Oil's lead singer, or Michael Stipe or just some other bald head and copy and paste. For those of us who were posters on the old board, we know that you keep your gameday promises. Good luck with that though. While I hope that NU can pull off the W, I will take reality and pick Missouri to win as Missou has owned Nebraska the last 2 times in Columbia, especially in the 4th quarter.

Don't know about the others but that's good enough for me. Better get the clippers out now though, so you can be looking at them all day long and knowing that after midnight, the buzzsaw comes to life.

I know. It's about the Huskers and what happens with a conference/division loss. They lose and they lose ground for the North. I hope that I am wrong, but I just don't think so.

Did you guys know?
The last two times the Cornhuskers stepped onto Faurot Field, in 2003 and 2005, they were handed matching 41-24 defeats.

Having stated that fact, it will be a huge win for Nebraska if they can pull it off. Missouri's schedule after this game is grueling to say the least so if NU losses it is not a lock that Mizzou will win the North.

mizzou will win tonight but will have to beat ku, ksu and colorado. mizzou has a better chance of beating those teams than nebraska does, that's for sure. ku is for real.

I love the attitude Dman but what makes you think the Huskers can get pressure on chase when they haven't created any pressure on any body(not even the scout team) all year?
The good thing is that even though we are struggling this year we are wayyy better than the hawkqueers

I know I'm the eternal optimist...well, I know the Blackshirts didn't just all-of-a-sudden get this bad. They are due for a solid game and if Keller & Co. can keep the INT's & Fumbles from occuring, Mizzou got lit up 500+ yards by Ole Miss, they can be pushed around. Most key is to get that crowd qiuet early. By no means am I saying we can stop Mizzou, just slow them enough to let Keller breath.

I'm with you on that. I think the talent is OK but that freakin Coz just won't get the Players wound up and crazy like he needs to. Sometimes I wonder if that Billy,s Pro mentality rubbing off or what.
I think the lack off enthusiasm and excitement is the husker main problem. Billy needs to quit making the playbook so hard and just let the boys have fun. They need to hit and hit hard.
You know Pelini wasn't a great XX"s and OO's coach but boy could he get the players to play hard. If he had this talent and not Frankies look out.

DMan, if Iowa wins another game I'll grow mine out.

I'm a little short on top. Maybe a comb-over.

Counting the Herd one hoof at a time.

wow, another one of didiots predictions doesn't come true. i think i saw a stat that said daniel had over 400 yards all by his lonesome against the pink skirts and the skers didn't even get to 300 and mizzou had been giving up over 400 per game. god i'm going to look forward to every saturday now more than ever the rest of this season.

NU is 4-2 in the obvious scenario that you didn't realize that. So Logan, before you start putting your prosthesis in your mouth, make sure you know the whole story. We are at the halfway point, and while I can see the obvious trend that is presenting itself, I doubt Iowa or Notre Dame will win 4 games this season.
I always laugh at idiots like you that hate just to hate. I don't like Iowa football or Notre Dame football. But because I am wise enough to know the ignorance behind blind hate, I don't despise those enemy programs. An example: Chris Fowler of ESPN gameday is a huge Colorado Buffalo fan & alum. But you'll never hear him mention it or harp about his team, he feels it strongly, but as a professional he decided to keep it out of the arguement thus never dragging himself into the forray.
Now, I don't expect you to have that kind of moxie Logan. You are just too stupid for that type of descretion.

Martin Rucker, who wanted his whole life to follow big brother Mikes footsteps and become a Husker, verbally committed, but stated that NU never called him back. Huge mistake. This was his best game against the Huskers and it seems as if every play they were calling his name. He played with the purpose of making NU pay for this lack of respect and having Husker faithful say, "he's wearing the wrong colors, let's get in the good ol' dolorean, warp back 4 years and give this kid a call."
