Currently I'm in 3rd place in the regional tourney.

http://action3news.profootball.upickem.net/profootball/fans/leaders.asp

Last week really hurt me. I missed 7 of the 14 games. Pretty bad but it looks like most everyone picked like I did. I expected the Jets, Houston, Chicago, SD, Pittsburgh and Baltimore to win their games.

This week, my dark horse is Tampa. I'm hoping for some sweet revenge on the Colts. Only thing that could make it better would be if we saw Peyton & Co self destruct on MNF in the last 5 minutes of the game.

<--- still bitter about that loss after Tampa's super bowl season....

I am in the 93rd percentile on ESPN. Last week did hurt...I missed 6 games, most all year.

This week I think I have pretty much all the home teams winning except maybe Arizona and one or two others.

I am in a Yahoo! league as well and leading our group by 5 games. My NCAA pick'em isn't nearly as hot though.

Speaking of KM3, if they hired a weather chick like this one:

I'd watch it every night.

Here is what I ended up with...may make alterations Sunday AM when I do my final review.

Week 5
Miami at Houston
Atlanta at Tennessee
Jacksonville at Kansas City
NY Jets at NY Giants
Carolina at New Orleans
Arizona at St. Louis
Cleveland at New England
Seattle at Pittsburgh
Detroit at Washington
Tampa Bay at Indianapolis
San Diego at Denver
Baltimore at San Francisco
Chicago at Green Bay
Dallas at Buffalo

SD v. Denver is a tough call, but Denver is almost always a no-brainer at home and SD sucks, but this has upset written all over it.

Tied for 1st place this week. Had I stuck with my 1st instinct on Seattle v Pitt, SD v Denver and not gone with my team in Tampa v Indy, I'd be alone atop the pack.

If you pick Seattle against Pitt on the road you deserve to lose!

Luckily I did change and pick San Diego.

Well, I pick in ESPN solo, so that's a percentile based thing. I also pick in a Yahoo! group with some guys that I've done FFL with for years and I've been in 1st since Week 1 by about 3 picks. I usually do pretty well in my NFL pick'em leagues...NCAA, not so much. I tend to get too upset happy in those.

I know. I thought the injuries on Pittsburg would be a bigger factor than they were obviously.

Denver at home though was a no brainer - especially with the way SD has been playing.

And Tampa - I gotta pick my team to win. Even against Indy. When I heard about Addai and Harrison being out... oh well.

The NCAA has been upset happy this year. I would think you'd fare pretty well. UNLESS you aren't picking the Stanford's, App State's, Kentucky's, USFs, Kansas's, Colorado's, K-State's, Cal, BC's, Cincinatti's, Missouri's, Maryland's, Ga Tech's, Auburn's, Illinois's, Indiana's.

I mean how could you f#&k THAT up?

Actaully, believe it or not, I did pick K St. and Kentucky...outside of that, yeah been missing the rest of those.

I picked Washington over USC and thought that was going to pan out for me. Not sure if anyone saw that game, but man...talk about dirty football, USC was bad...at least they were getting flagged for it most of the time.

I happened to catch Rome is Burning yesterday. He said something to the effect of 'USC had been over-hyped all season and the only team of 'worth' that they'd played all season was NU - which after the Mizzou blasting this past weekend even takes away the value of playing Nebraska.' I had a good chuckle about that.

Well, I agree with him. I predicted USC to lose 2 games this year at the start of the season. I figured they'd trip again Cal and probably Oregon. I would of never guesses Stanford.

Although, not sure what he is thinking about giving NU that much credit...it's pretty apparent at this point that they weren't worthy of their pre-season ranking and that they'll be lucky to be ranked when it's all said and done.

I think to date the best team they've faced is Washington. I still think Stanford was playing above themselves.
