Week 5 picks for me:
Oklahoma comes off an embarrassing showing from a game they should have won hands down and rubs the Longhorns faces into the Cotton Bowl turf. Texas continues to show that they just aren't that good. Oklahoma 42, Texas 24
Purple Pissants go down at home in the battle for Kansas Supremacy.
Kansas 31, Kansas St. 27
Oklahoma State silences the rambuctious 12th man with an XP as time expires, after A&M missed their last XP.
Okie St. 28, Texas A&M 27
After a you score, we score seesaw battle for 3 quarters, history repeats itself and Missou owns the Huskers in the 4th for the 3rd straight visit to Columbia, scoring 2 TD's.
Missouri 45, Nebraska 31
Colorado keeps the train a rolling, showing Baylor that they still have light years of improvement ahead of them.
Colorado 35, Baylor 14
Red Raiders roll, Cyclones blow. 'Nuff Said.
Texas Tech 33, Iowa St. 17

Penn St. 28, Iowa 24
Michigan 39, Eastern Michigan 13
UCLA 49, Notre Dame 20
The Irish are unfortunately looking much like my Rams, getting their asses handed to them on a silver platter by everyone that they face.

2007's Championship Predictions: All of my favorite teams: Huskers, Rams, Suns, Avalanche, and Red Sox. Hey, can't a guy dream???

Iowa & Notre Dame are just horrendous this year! What the hell happened? I don't like either schools football program but in the past I at least recognized that they were always there as a threat. Are these two schools really sinking in football or is this just a one year phase. Cylical remember...

Told you we wouldn't blow out E. Mich. when the spread was 30-some points.

And never underestimate the power of JoePa at home when he has a leg up on a team that's had his number the past so many years...Iowa was lucky Penn St. didn't have any more offensive power than they do or it might of been 50 points.

Did you even watch the game? If you watched Notre Dame on Saturday, and thought that was a sign of good things to come, you're fooling yourself.

Did those 46 yards rushing, and 94 yards passing really make you think they're on the way back?

Notre Dame will improve (they have to), but that UCLA game wasn't proof of anything.

.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

while it wasn't anything great it was better than what they have been doing. they did at least play with some heart, unlike another team i won't mention.

I was impressed that ND won...that game should've been, by any stretch of the imagination, a UCLA 3 TD victory. It showed some mental toughness on their part, but from what I saw of the actual game...yeah, you guys are in for a long season still.

Notre Dame looked awful. It was one of the worst performances I've seen out of a winning team. That was the ugliest football game of the season.

No need for any Irish fans to apologize for it, though. A win is a win -- but don't act like that game was some sort of indicator of any future success. It wasn't.

i don't think nd will do what stanford did against usc and the irish still have to play stanford. duke isn't even looking like a push over now. hell duke scored more points on wake forest than nebraska did. the next 2 weeks could be ugly. however, if they keep it close it tells me good things are in line for next season.

That's certainly optimistic, Logan...at this point, the only concrete evidence I see for ND having hope for next season is the fact that this season will be behind them.

i think it's a pretty easy prediction to say they will have a better record next year. the question is will they be able to compete.
