I'm betting the unders on this game. It seems like whenever two high-powered offenses play each other, with everyone expecting a shoot-out (like Cal/Oregon from this past weekend), it's usually a lower-than-expected scoring game.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

| You might be right. I think that the O/U on this game opened at 68, which seemed low to me, given the good offenses & sh!tty defenses. |

YES!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! It took a couple years, but I'm finally getting through to Dman. This is the first time he's picked against Nebraska. So slowly, but surely, my unorthodox intervention (i.e. taking apart his world, pointing out his many flaws, etc.) worked. You're welcome, Dman. I know you won't acknowledge my contribution, but it's no coincidence that it took you this long to do/say anything anti-Husker. This is the first step towards a new you. (THANK GOD) |

| Please! Quit slapping yourself on the back you might tear a lumbar tendon. I typically and realistically never call a win in Columbia. It rarely occurs. Sorry Intermural, not this time. |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |

I expected this resistance, and won't even fight it. You need to take baby steps, and I understand that. With my help, you were finally able to take the first one. Again, no thanks is necessary. Dwight, everyone here is very proud of you. I expect an angry, defiant response -- you're like an alcoholic who's going through detox. Your mind is rejecting this new way of thinking. So, I'll be patient. I'll take whatever unfunny, unoriginal jabs you care to throw my way in the interest of making you better. You're on your way!!! |

They say playing Intermural hoops and wrestling with one leg can bring guys together. If not for anything else, just so they can have each other to lean on. Two inspirational stories of human spirit and true grit. Intermural - Vranged One Leg - Logan DMan - As himself |
