Posted By Bugeater on 09/16/2007 10:35 PM Posted By vranged on 09/16/2007 4:47 AM If you hate Callahan, I'm not going to stop you ------ but he's not the reason Nebraska lost today. I blame him for last year's loss, but not tonight's. USC is WAYYYYYYYY better than Nebraska -- much more than I thought. Heading into the game, I was worried about their speed. That lived up to expectations, as they were all over the field, but what shocked me....and the Huskers....was how physically dominating the Trojans were. They destroyed Nebraksa at the line of scrimmage. They were stronger, smarter, and faster. We're a tier or two behind that team. It's 4:40 AM, and I'm just getting back from Lincoln, so my intoxication might dominate the synposis of the game. BUt I won't make excuses other than -- the better team won. Let's kill Ball State next week, or whoever we play next. As crappy as tonight was for Nebraska, at least we're not Iowa or Notre Dame --- i.e. the laughing stocks of college football. We're just a good team that lost to a great team. Is that what we're down to now? "Yeah, we suck, but at least we don't suck as bad as (insert team here)." All I've been hearing about for the past 3 years is all of the fire breathing studs that Cally is bringing in. Well, where the **** are they? We're not one effing bit better off than when Solich was the coach. Oh, and **** you too Steve Pedersen. ****ing liar. Great Post Bugs, This is exactly what Calliecan't has reduced Husker Nation to "We suck but so do you", God isn't mediocrity great!!!! Absolutely no improvement! Purify and Marilyn Lucky both belong to one of those vaunted Calliecan't coaching classes and guess what, "Now you know why SoCal didn't want them". This has all the makings of a 8 - 4 season with next years prospect being bleaker! Frankie Solich where are you? |

| Mediocrity -- what Notre Dame and Iowa aspire to.... |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

Shocker that you feel that way, Logan.
Everytime you make fun of "typical Husker fan" for acting a certain way, you're basically making fun of yourself. B/C , you're essentially Bizarro Nebraska fan. Your unrealistic calls of our demise are just as ignorant as the cheers of "We're back". Look in the mirror -- you are basically who you insult. |

I'm talking in a general sense, but I get the feeling you could care less, so go try to beat up Superman.

| Well, Phil Elmassian is still employed by the University of Nebraska. |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |

Well, Dman, if I may speak for Bugeater (and correct me if I'm wrong if I'm speaking incorrectly for you, BUgeater), but Nebraska was the second best team on the field today against BALL FRICKIN' STATE. So, I think the question is pretty self-explanatory.

| Corey McKeon - start with sitting that slow goat down. Ndamakong Suh - then take him and only use him on pass rushing downs, he cannot stuff the middle to save his life. Only Zac Potter impresses me of the new starters. |
