Do we or don't we. My main concern is that if it is built and the CWS eventually leaves town. We end up with a largely empty park in a bad area of town. Am I missing something here? Whats your take on this proposal? |

I want to see the specs of the new ball park. If it can be both big enough for the CWS and small enough for the Omaha Royals, then I say HELL YEAH! If it is just going to be another huge stadium that is just going to get used two weeks a year and then sit empty or look empty with the Royals there, then I say keep the CWS at the Blatt and move the Royals and the Bluejays to the new downtown stadium. |

My main concerns are that Rosenblatt has history, its hard to get beyond that. Secondly the streets surrounding the proposed site are not commuter friendly. Traffic will be a nightmare. The access off I-80 to the Blatt is about as good as it gets when going to any sporting event in the country. That itself will be sorely missed if a move downtown is made. |

I agree with the history, but not with the traffic. Hopefully with the proposed street cars and other transit, you can park all over downtown and catch a ride right up to the front gates of the stadium or to the bars and restaurants in NoDo. (side note - I have to make the text boxes bigger) |

I prefer SoDo where the Blatt is currently located and the quaint neighborhood atmosphere surrounding the Blatt. Do we really want the vacant wasteland known as NoDo to be someones first impression of Omaha? |

My main concern is the cost, who is going to pay for it? We the taxpayers of Omaha are stuck with the Hilton "debacle". The Qwest while a great addition to the City of Omaha is a taxpayers nightmare, our childrens children will still be paying for this "shrine". I see the same thing transpiring if the new ball park is built downtown. If it can be paid for without 1 cent of public funds then I am all for it. |

| When that vacant wasteland becomes shops, bars, restaurants, a movie theater and more, then yeah. |

When the area starts filling in it would become more attractive IMO as a site but until then I think out of towners might be stunned especially if they remember the area around the Ol Blatt. |
