I just don't get why Appalachian State and it's fans don't have anymore respect for their performance than to consider it a fluke. They have a quality team and a quality program. Not sure why they do crap like this to undermine what these kids did on the field. BTW, the governor of Michigan is a Spartan!?

I don't want to make excuses for Michigan because we should of won whether we were overrated or not.

However, this is an extremely good ASU team. They could beat a number of currently ranked/bubble teams.

have to agree on this one. it looks like this team could hold their own with a lot of 1-a teams.

Funny stuff, egami.
You know I keep hearing all this fire Lloyd Carr stuff. Right now, I'd say keep Carr, but fire the defensive coordinator.
And, the App State game wasn't the biggest upset, imo.
That would be that Temple win over Virginia Tech back in the late '90s. App State is much better than that Temple team could dream of being.

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin

You're right, by no stretch is the ASU game the biggest upset. The more games we lose the more true this will become.

As far as keeping Carr...look at his performance over the last 5 or 6 years and you wouldn't be so up on the guy. He can't win bowl games. We play down to our opponents level (see an Iowa game over the past 5-6 years). We can't beat Ohio. We can't compete at a national title level.

He needs to go.
