Hats off to working yourself up toward the top 10. After the beating by USC do you fall out of the top 25?

That's the question.

Iowa should be ranked after a convincing win in Ames!

Or not...

iowa should be ranked. they are definitely ranked higher than nd and michigan. i do think the skers will take a tumble after next week. i also think gt, vt & ut should be ranked higher than them. not to mention oregon, clemson and bc.

Pop quiz of the day:

Who has led a college football team to more offensive TDs this week? Me, or "offensive guru" Charlie Weis?

Answer: It's a tie.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

who got paid more for the tie? it's too bad charlie and other coaches pay isn't entirely performance based. bonus factor in to that. nd had the opportunity to score at least 1 td and didn't get it done. clausen is going to have to learn he can't make the 3rd and 4th read like he did in high school and get rid of the ball sooner.

So, that's what it's come to for Notre Dame?

"Yeah, we suck, but our coach makes a lot of money."

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

my point was at this moment he's overpaid. now not all of it is his fault, he can't block throw and catch, all he can do is call plays and make decisions.

Don't give him too much credit...he hasn't acknowledged they suck yet that I've seen.

And Iowa hasn't played anyone worthy of ranking them in the Top 25 yet....that might change with another blowout type win against Ames.

But you have time to post questions in ESPN chatrooms?

I just don't see Iowa cracking the top 25, even with a blow-out in Ames. I think only a win at Camp Randall in week 4 will validate whether or not the Hawkeyes have a solid team this year. That's the problem with a weak schedule. As much parity as we've seen thus far in college football, I'm not counting anything out. I think 2007 may go down as the biggest upset year we've seen in quite some time. The real question is whether they are actual upsets, or just the parity of what college football has become.

Counting the Herd one hoof at a time.

Yeah, I agree...as much as I think Iowa may be deserving of a ranking they just haven't played anyone to really validate that. They need to blow out the Cyclowns and follow up with a win in week 4 to crack the top 25.

1. Iowa just isn't very good this year. 7 victories at the most will highlight Ferentz' season.
2. Mizzou doesn't play any ranked opponents until they play Nebraska. So the jury is still out on them.
3. Even if NU loses, I'll wager with anyone here that NU doesn't lose by more than 4 points. (meaning USC would need to win by 5 for you to win the bet)
Any takers? Not posting here, cash wagers, or 12 packs of beer, I don't care. I have to agree to the bet on here to make it legitimate.
