Good rankings, but I probably woudn't put SD so high on my list due to the whole new coaching staff.
Kinda sucks as a Chief fan. It's gonna be a looong season. Phucking Herm Edwards!

Yeah, I am going out on a limb a bit with SD, but I think they'll maintain enough continuity to challenge. I probably should have NE ranked #1, but I really like SD's team personnel and I think Norv Turner won't touch the offense much (other than he may open up a bit more than Marty did in the passing game) and their D has enough cohesiveness I think to maintain a top 10 caliber performance. Bugs and I have a $20 bet on the Raiders and Chiefs...I think Oakland may actually beat them in that division. I like Herm Edwards, he is a classy guy, but I don't think he's a great head coach. And, in fairness, it's not totally Herms fault that he inherited a team that failed to buffer itself on offense while they were going through re-building their defense. It was apparent about 5 years ago that their o-line would need re-tooling with Roaf, Shields and um..that other guy approaching the end of their careers. |
