The only reason why you sell out your games is b/c thats all you have is football. You long for a time that has long past you. Oh you might win the big 12 once every ten years you won't win a national champ for a very long time...You will see South Florida win a NC b/f you see another one come your way..

You owe South Florida an apology for comparing them to Nebraska.

The dirty little secret about the sellout streak is the athletic department makes sure all tix for the noncon tomato cans are sold by buying up the leftovers. Which explains why scalpers end up selling pennies on the dollar or give the damn things away for free.

Dukester is standing on the mountain top screaming from the top of his lungs: "Your team just got slaughtered by a Top 5 juggernaut...ha, ha! My team is better!"

They're 3-3 having lost 3 straight. :-(

Kinda stupid huh?

Well, to be fair Nebraska will drop its 3rd straight this Saturday as well, but it doesn't make Dukester any less of a jackass. Apparently all he has in his life is Nebraska football just the same, it looks like he spent all of Saturday night on this board patting himself on the back. Whatever floats your boat I guess, I know I have too many other things going on in my life to get caught up in all that.

Um, no...you can't...when your team drops 3 straight, you don't have anything on anyone.

One thing Nebraska WILL be able to say this year is that we've lost to THREE teams ranked in the top 10 when we played them. I'm not sure, but I doubt Iowa can say they have lost to anybody ranked in the top 25 when they got their asses handed to them. And if so, it's a damn good bet they weren't in the top 10.

Penn St. is the only team they will face in the top 10 assuming they don't choke on the road at the Horseshoe. Wisconsin most likely won't even be ranked when they play.

At the rate they're going...they could see only 3 wins this year.

@ Indiana
Wisconsin
@ Illinois
Penn St.
Purdue
@Minnesota

Out of those, they can thank the state of Indiana for any winnable games because they likely won't win the rest.

Does it really matter where they were ranked or it they were ranked when the loss occured? A loss is a loss, and the end of year rankings is as close as you'll get to an actual guage of the difficulty of the schedule.
Iowa has lost by a combined 9 points to 2 and potentially 3 top 25 teams, while NU has lost by 40 to just 2 so far, with futher beat downs (presumably) to come.

Is that that new math you kids are using these days?

Sorry Crit, but if where they're ranked doesn't matter, then margin of victory shouldn't either.

You have never heard of a live game thread?

Had Nebraska been winning I guarantee you I wouldn't have been the only one on the thread!

Terrible fans! I saw it as they crammed the steps and concourse's pushing each other out of the way half way through the 3rd quarter like a theater was on fire or something similar.

Bugs, I didn't suggest that where they are ranked doesn't matter. My point is that Seahawks is suggesting NU's losses are and will be somehow more legitimate due to their opponents rankings AT THE TIME OF the loss. All I am saying is, lets just see where all these teams fall at the end of the year rankings to judge how sh!tty each other's teams really are.

So at the end of the year, if Pitt is ranked 10 and Missouri is ranked 8, is a one point loss better or worse than a 35 point loss to a team 2 slots higher? (for example purposes only of course).

Have faith in reality Crit, Pitt, Northwestern & Michigan State will collectively be miles behind Virginia Tech, Missouri & Texas Tech. That is what I call a safe bet. :-)
