Hey Nebraska fans...Why don't you ever play Texas and Oklahoma in the same year in reg season? I have lived in Neb for 18 years. B/C of new rules you won't ever see that kind of domination at least from nebraska ever again. You can replace one hillbilly for another hillbilly and trade him for yet another hillbilly and bring back grandpappy but it won't help you.....Say can you tell me the last time anyone put 76 points on us and the year???? How about 52????

Don't forget St. Tom fought tooth and nail for the Big 12 to allow Prop 48s.

Hey Rogo -- the Big 12 Conference powers that be dictate schedules, including which teams a school plays in the opposite division. As it turns out, the Big 12 has Nebraska playing OU, Texas Tech and Baylor in 2008 and 2009, with games against Okie State, A&M and Texas scheduled in 2010-2011. Each school plays half of the teams in the opposite division on a rotating basis every two years, both home and away.

You are half right on your assessment about dominance -- NOBODY will be as dominant as Nebraska was between 1994-1997. The state of the game is much different today than it was when a few teams -- Nebraska among them -- dominated college football year in and year out. There is too much talent and too many opportunities exist for teams to rise from the ashes and beat the big boys in this day and age.

One thing I always think of is back in the 80s and 90s Nebraska did a heck of a job at recruiting athletes that nobody else thought of recruiting or wanted. With the advent of the Internet and sites like Rivals.com, these athletes aren't hidden anymore and are more exposed to the rest of the programs in the nation more than ever.

Listen, when Dukie's son Rogo turned 14 Dukie promised him he could come to this board as part of his birthday gift and part of his induction into manhood.

Welcome home Rogo14! :-)

I have never disputed that Nebraska won or shared some National Titles. The point is Husker fans response to anything negative is "we were good once", that Sports Fans is a sure sign of throwing in the towel.

That's your opinion Dukester. My opinion is it is not "throwing in the towel" of any sort for a Husker fan to ALWAYS relish the fact that we have a rich tradition of winning. We've had a taste of what the ultimate pot has in it. Iowa fan has not. There is more to that than just "throwing in the towel." I believe the sole reason you waste so much of your precious energy here spewing Husker hate is a direct result of those 5 trophies sitting in that case.

A clear cut case of Husker envy that you cannot deny. :-)

Opinion is not envy! My posts are the only light at the end of the tunnel for most of you this board.

You can be proud of your past but for most of you, you live in the past and won't take the blinders off.

Thats ok, just follow my voice and I will lead you out of the dark and into the light!!!!

A sure sign of throwing in the towel would be wasting more time dogging on another team than actually defending or talking about the team you're a fan of...

And once again, if the past doesn't matter, why is MU and KU fan still butthurt over all the ass kickings over the last 30 years?

I'd really like an answer to that question. And don't tell me that they aren't, because they CLEARLY are.

Point is they are not, you focus that as the excuse for them sharing in the emergence of their programs.

Point is the ass kickings will continue and idiots like you just won't accept it!!!!!

Oh, you are a funny one. What is truly sad is you relishing the notion that my life revolves entirely around NU football and that I should be on suicide watch because of it, when in fact you don't know a single damn thing about me. OTOH, you have proven with your ridiculous number of posts that your life DOES INDEED revolve around NU football AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN A FAN OF THEM!
