At the end of the 1st quarter, Missouri has doubled the score on Nebraska.
Slewfooted Joe Ganz is running for his life and being tackled for loss of yards! It appears the offensive line is a bad as last year!

4:08 left in the 2nd and Mizzou scores easily again! Chase Daniel is carving up the Nebraska secondary much like a chef carves a turkey. Come to think of it Nebraskas defense looks like a bunch of turkeys!
That chugging you hear in the background is the "Ol Excuse Train" building up a head of steam for its run through the State of Nebraska tonight and into the early morn!!!
It appears they might have to add a few cars to the "Ol Excuse Train" tonight.

Daniel said he took great satisfaction in the five-touchdown margin of victory. He said a Nebraska player spit on him before the game.
"I'm not going to say who it was. He knows who it is. That's bush league. That's blatant disrespect," Daniel said.
Daniel called Nebraska one of the "dirtiest" teams he's played.
"You have to settle it out on the field," he said, "and I think we more than did that tonight."

I couldn't tell if the Mizzou offense is just THAT good, or if the NU defense just played THAT bad. I couldn't quite figure out why NU was going with the 3 man rush thing. For a second, I thought I saw Cosgrove with both arms wrapped in the defensive scheme cardboard sheets, calling the plays.
It was probably one of the worst defensive game-plans I've seen all year, which is really surprising coming from a defensive guru like Pelini. Although I felt the game hinged on NU's offense consistently moving the ball and keeping the Mizzou offense off the field, but that didn't seem to happen either.
No matter how you slice it, that was a spanking of epic proportions; at home; in front of gramma and grammpa. |
