| The things is, we have tasted the glory, your sorry ass excuse for a team hasn't. And honestly, Nebraska could lose every game they ever play for the rest of my life, and I'll never become the bitter, jealous, obsessive, pathetic sack of sh*t you are. |

Posted By IrememberDukester on 10/02/2008 9:13 PM Posted By Omahan on 10/02/2008 9:08 PM Show us the Iowa Trophy case Dukester? The one with all the trophies in it for most first downs in non-conference play or most turnovers in conference play. Pic please? Typical DMan response right before you get your ass kicked you tell the guy how tough you were back in the day! Those days are over, it won't help you come Saturday. Where or who you were in the past obviously doesn't carry any weight with the pollsters or the odds makers. Quit living in the past boyz.

For a hate monger like Dukester saying NU "chokes" is just a nastier way of saying they played tight.
Put the focus on Iowa, what is their excuse? Playing tight? No talent? Bad Coaching? Bad fans? Gangster thug players? |

For weeks, I figured Missouri would blow out NU -- by at least 20-30 points. Our defense, with that offense -- I didn't have a lot of confidence. However, I noticed an interesting gambling-related trend. 90% of people think the Tigers are going to steamroll the Huskers, yet the line is dropping. Nobody knows more about college football than the people who set the line, so that makes me very curious. If history with regards to this particular parameter is any indicator, this should be a single digit, close game.
My head tells me Missouri 45, Nebraska 17. But I don't know as much about football as the oddsmakers (nobody does), so I'm going Missouri 30, Nebraska 24. Hell, since it's going to be that close, I'll mainline some Kool Aid and go Nebraska 38, Missouri 31.
How's that for decisiveness? |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

I predict for the 2nd week the appearance of the "Ol Excuse Train" running rampant through the landscape of Nebraska with good at Dwight at the controls! I predict Nebraska drops another game this week making them 3 - 2 and I predict they get bounced again next week making it 3 - 3 as Husker Nation starts murmuring about Bo's play calling and ability to get the team ready for a big game! |

This is a very true post. Husker fans know what it's like to suck right now. We're not good. But we're on pace to have a pretty routine Iowa year. The difference -- and it's a huge one -- is we also know what it's like to be the best -- as dominant as any college football team as ever been. It's an incredibly good feeling. Hawkeye fan will just have to take my word for it. |

Wrong again retard...there were probably a dozen Mizzou players that passed by that trophy case and hoped that one day they had one to enjoy. You see, Mizzou is like Iowa in that they have no history to speak of nationally. :-) Point scored. |

Ancient history was of no concern to Mizzou - 52 points scored, the worst beating ever at home. That dusty trophy case was probably laughed at. |

| in case you weren't watching, the death march started when the score was 38-10. by the end of the game there were more mizzou fans hanging around than sker fans. |

| you'd be surprised how many haters live in lincoln dwight. i've worn it proudly on my sleeve everywhere i go for the last 5 years. btw, the next day at my sons midget game in lincoln i proudly wore mizzou gear. i had one guy ask me if i ran out and bought my shirt the night before. i said, "it's a cotton bowl shirt, i bought it before the cotton bowl." he tucked his tail and sat down. gotta love you sker freaks. |
