I do not care about personality.

So maybe you could persuade some of the voters that do.

No one cares what YOU personally think egami.

Curt Schilling is a shoo in Hall of Famer. His personality traits that have caused him to sling words like vranged and egami. (like blithering idiots) May possibly cost him a couple of years.

Then he isn't a "Shoo in" is he?

Other than that, he is a shoo in. When you are sitting at your mother's house watching the induction ceremony --- remember you heard it here first.

Please, seriously, define what you think a "Shoo in" is...

egami, your rants sometimes are inexcusable. Misery to say the least. Kirby Puckett?

Yeah, Kirby Puckett, go wiki it and catch up to the rest of us...

Obviously YOU do.

The point wasn't to make you care what I think...the point was to demonstrate your error in insinuating that I said the voters wouldn't consider it.

LMAO! Dwight says he's a shoo-in, then immediately starts cowering again once facts are presented.

Our resident speedbag definitely deserves bonus points for consistency.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

Schilling is far from a shoo in. If you think he's a HOF'er, that's one thing, and certainly debatable. BUt to state something undeniably false like he's a sure-thing just exposes you again for how little you know about sports.

In my estimation, he was the Jack Morris of his generation. Solid, but unspectacular regular season stats, followed up with incredible post-season performances. If my memory serves me, Jack hasn't come close to getting in.

I wouldn't be upset if Schilling got in, but I certainly wouldn't advocate it. THat's only b/c I'm one of those people who think it should be reserved for the cream of the crop. Schilling falls a bit shot, in my view (but this isn't one I'd argue vehemently against -- he is one of the defining baseball personalities of the last decade, and was as clutch as they come.)

Talk about teedering on the fence unti your nuts burst. Make up your mind.

To me, he's in. 3 world series rings that he factored heavily in. Clutch, clutch and more clutch.

Yes egami he is still a shoo in. He will simply have to wait a little longer than someone that didn't say mean and rude things. vranged would have to wait a decade...if he had any skills to speak of.

I suppose restaurant management might get him in the HOF...oh yea, he failed at that too!

Shoo in to me means he will be in the Hall of Fame. Hell, no one can guarantee when that occurs because there are so many factors involved. Of the obvious factors, Schillings mouth is the only one that stands out as something that would persuade voters to not vote for him.

Between the lines, one of the best. period. Shoo in.

When HoF voters were asked...

Case closed. 10-10 isn't widely agreed upon.

In 2004 Schilling led the majors with 21 wins, yet finished a distant 2nd in the Cy Young voting.

Why? Because most sportswriters like other people in the news media are liberals and Curt is a conservative.

If you don't think that makes a difference, you aren't paying attention.

Okay boys, I came and dominated like PP did Kobe & Lebron. I destroyed the Imus thread with sheer gritty truth. I came here and made Schilling a shoo in with fact and fiction both. I continue to dominate the PP discussion with interesting facts that egami only "acts" as if he knows. (you knew he played in all 82 games after getting stabbed --- Please Dude!)

So much I have offered today. I must go now.

You are a pathological liar. You can't help yourself.

Looks like I was right about that too!

This is the only place you matter, Dwight, and nobody respects you here either! How pitiful!!

I certainly don't beleive Curt Schilling is a shoe-in to the HOF, but I do think that he has a good chance IMO. Whether he is deserving or not, I guess I'm with Vranged.....I could go either way.

Things that could set Schilling apart IMO are the 3 World Championship Rings, 4 Cy Young top 4 finishes, WS MVP and the bloody sock. He was instrumental in ridding the Bo Sox of "the curse". Additionally, his strong stance against steroids and the cheaters of the game will bode well for him down the road.

Schilling has never won a Cy Young or MVP. He's finished in the voting for those 4 times, but never won either (pitchers really don't typically win MVP as I mentioned before)...think he came up second for Cy Young once or twice. He has had 6 All Star appearances...which is so-so for 20 years in the league, imo. He lead the league in wins a couple times, but like I said before...wins is largely dependent on your team as well.

Oops. Maybe I should Wiki more. I was looking off his stat sheet and didn't realize my blunder. He definitely had a couple years where he certainly could have or should have won a Cy Young.
