Despite this, the Favre returning clock will still be ticking in many peoples head.

I am actually desperate today.

They say...people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate.

And you have on cue demonstrated what I have hallucinated from day one in regards to you.

I actually created Fergie in part to attack you Crit without you knowing it was me. Some of your takes were so lame that I almost came at you as myself a few time...

Heh, I wonder if this is their way of saying "ummm...please don't think about coming back, Brett".

I think the whole perceived animosity between GB and Favre is a bunch of overhyped drama, frankly.

I don't necessarily think there is animosity, but GB just needs to move on and not have this drama queen jerking their chain. His act has to start wearing thin with them at some point, maybe Packer fans don't feel the same but AFAIC he's tarnishing his legacy a bit with this crap.

Well, the media certainly think there is...if I heard it once I heard a dozen times about how GB was trying to push him out the past few years and that part of Favre staying was to spite them. That's the problem with modern media...any Tom, Dick or Dwight can get a mic and say something and get paid for it.

I don't know about his legacy being tarnished...I would of agreed vehemently after the drama a couple off seasons ago, but it was a one time thing and I think he just let the media get to him, which in fairness I can't say I wouldn't do the same if I was hounded EVERY day about retiring. In the end, I think that will be forgotten and overlooked in the grand scheme of his legacy, but in my mind I did knock him down a peg for some of that.

We'll see if my prediction comes true or not, but I think GB will suffer Barry Sanders Syndrome over Favre.
