Well, just saw it...and you are losing while they are on the air. Now, I don't know how big a difference 5.1 to 4.3 is in the radio world but their show is listened to by 20% more people. That sounds significant.
Now...do the people you work for REALLY think Travis is going to make up the difference? You SEEM happy with the ratings. If so, why f--- with it? Why bring the most hated media personality in town into the fold?
I'll bet ANYTHING that your ratings plummet with that fool. They will from 4-6 anyway...hopefully 2-4 is still entertaining. Put your good interviews during that slot please. |

I'm still concerned about this move, but Matt's optimism is contagious! I'm thinking that this may be a good move after all. As long as Matt still is in charge of the show....Matt, you are still in charge of the show, aren't you? I mean, when I hear "co-host," I think of someone who will have partial control over the show. Trav's not going to control content, activities, etc., I hope.
Matt, I'm sure this doesn't mean much to a star such as yourself, but just know, I'm not giving up on the Big Show yet. |

where did i suggest that he spend 4 hours a day talking husker football? I didn't. Nor did I say he should gush over them. I'm just saying he alienated a large part of his audience right out of the gate. The same tactic wouldn't work in Boston or New York or Austin either. I am as big a fan of the jays as anyone...so I enjoy the diversity of his show as well. Hell, I said I loved the show. I think he's the best thing going in local sports talk. But they wouldn't be bringing in the king of all tools if the show was doing well in the ratings...and go on any message board and you'll find he's hated by husker fans. And that is the vast majority of the audience. Maybe the diverse show (i.e. other teams/sports), whether he's positive about NU or not, was the death blow...which would be unfortunate. I'm not saying the reasons for low ratings are right. Just pointing out the reality. Travis Justice is coming in a) because his show was not getting ratings and b) because neither is Matt's. All in the hopes of saving Matt's show. But it's not going work. Justice is a tool. He will ruin the show.
if bashing the huskers is the wrong thing to do for a radio talk show host then why do todd n tyler have the number one rated morning show in omaha for the last several years? i think you're way off base on this one. |

| Personally, I don't want to hear a radio show that is going to kiss husker butt all day long. I am a BIG Husker fan. I really don't care for Creighton so creighton talk is really boring to me. But what makes bad radio to the point where I want to change the station is all of the small talk lately. "I'm going to buy a big screen TV, playstation 3." I dont' think that people want to hear about Matt's and Brian's personal life. And all of the Boston Red Sox and New England Pats talk. There might be 5 fans out there that Matt is connecting with but I just have to turn the station. |

| Logan shows his knowledge again ! T n T ? hardly the same crowd tuning into Sports Talk Radio. Yes, there are going to be some cross-overs who enjoy both, but to sit back and think that Matt's show and the TnT show are the same? Apples and oranges. |

| read it real slow brian then you might get it. no where in that post did i indicate they have exactly the same audience. i just pointed out that a show can bash the local favorites and still succeed. as far as entirely different demographics go, i think you're wrong there. i'll bet there are more cross overs than you think. |
