http://www.journalgazette.net/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080430/BLOGS02/312343904 If nothing else, I hope Weis has learned by now something he should learned long ago in New England. 1. Keep your mouth shut and do your business. 2. Opening your mouth will result in media fodder. But, no, Charlie not only opened his mouth...he just kept it pouring all to be let out on the Internet. Besides his ridiculous Michigan comments Weis went on regarding "thugs and hoodlums". Obviously making the excuse that these team who solidly handed them their ass last year were loaded with players of "lesser character" than that of Notre Dame standards. Really, Charlie? Because last I checked both Air Force and Navy have higher standards that even Notre Dame. Having a QB involved in under aged drinking and players soliciting hookers isn't the worst in world, but you don't see armed services guys making headlines on those items. You guys sucked last year. And it's one thing to talk up your home crowd folks at a closed door dinner to pep talk, but at the end of the day you're not taking ownership of your problems. Maybe the on paper your SoS doesn't look too bad to you, but with the road schedule you have I wouldn't be talking too much pre-season trash. |

Oh, Weis-cracks. I had to read it twice. I thought the thread was titled "Digging Deeper into Charlie's Wide Crack". I was going to suggest that you are one sick son-of-a-b!tch Midge. |

I'd probably have used the word "crevice" in that sick, perverted case. You know how I like to strive for the most semantically correct meaning. |

The only thing that made last season REMOTELY enjoyable through the debacle that was the final year of the Pedey/Cally abortion was watching the Domers get their ASSES handed to them week after week.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for more of the same. And judging from their schedule, I don't expect them to let me down. Anything sub-.500 in the land of the team formerly known as the Fighting Irish is AOK with me. |

| Yeah, it never gets tiring seeing the Domers get handed, regardless of how bad they are... |
