Chad Johnson is upset.

Henry got released.

There are a number of issues surrounding this organization that is loaded with pretty decent talent, truth be told.

CJ has me mixed on feelings...on one hand, he needs to suck it up and be the a team leader.

On the other hand, things ARE very bad in Cincy. Imo, Marv Lewis has overstayed his welcome. He's basically a .500 coach with sporadic offensive output and historic defensive failure. His one winning season they only had 3 wins against teams with winning records. Chuck Bresnahan isn't cutting it as DC after three years.

So, while I criticize Chad Johnson, I do agree with him. Things need to change. The culture in that locker room needs to change. Coaching staff needs to change.

I've found it a strange coincidence that a team with this many lawbreakers would utilize stripes in their logo scheme.

I'm guessing Henry won't be the last of the lawbreakers to be shown the door in Cincy, unless some people change their ways right now.

Marv needs to focus on producing a better football team and the issues with Chad go away. Lewis is in way over his head and he is drowning fast. Johnson definitely has a big mouth, but he makes a good point when asked if he was going to stay out of trouble. Johnson replied that he doesn't have off-the-field issues. He has never been in trouble. Unlike about 18 to 20 of his teammates.

The big question is when is Carson Palmer going to step up and take control of this team. The head coach isn't doing it.

Brian Kenney interviewed him today and that guy is just as cocky and obnoxious as a fool can be. He'll be another JR Rider in few years.

Broke & broken down.

Yeah, I heard the Kenney interview and had a similar impression at first, but when I stepped back from it...the fact is, he is right. Things are a freakin' mess in Cincy and they aren't his fault. Now, granted, he's adding to it by lashing out, but man....Cincy is a MESS.

As far as Crit's comment about Palmer...I don't agree the burden is on Palmer. Everything I've read from teammates comments and coaches indicate the Palmer is doing his role. I think the bulk of the issue revolve around a HC that needs to be gone. He hasn't incorporated the type of players in the system that are conducive to a succeeding environment.

I guess all I'm saying is that someone within the franchise needs to step up. It's obvious Marv is probably not going to be there much longer and Palmer appears to be pretty silent through much of this. It would appear that he is the glue.

Step up publicly? Because, imo, as long as he's doing his part in the locker room, on the field and off the field. I think the best thing he can do is not speak publicly and let the ESPN drama queens run with it.

Yes, publicly. Carson Palmer "needs" Chad Johnson. They just lost their #3 receiver. Chad is most definitely not going to get traded now. Conversely, Chad Johnson needs Carson Palmer. It's all well and good that Palmer supports his teammates in the locker room......that's certainly important. But when a teammate and a coach are dragging down the franchise from within, it doesn't appear the locker room management is doing a hell of a lot of good. Maybe a good public lashing followed by "affection" is just the ticket.

I wouldn't if I were him. With the toxicity of the situation nothing publicly is going to do any good except stir the pot and provide for more media drama.

I'd agree if things weren't where they are at now, but at this point I think the best thing to do is let the CJ thing play out on its own outside the walls of the franchise and Palmer should be focusing on working on that situation from the inside.

I think they should trade for Pacman Jones, and break Rae Carruth out of prison, and sign him to replace Chris Henry.

If you're going to be a team of thugs, you might as well embrace it.

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up!

ONE LAST HURRAH: How about a team with Pacman, Chad, Vranged and Ryan Leaf?

What a volatile mix of angry nothings.

Couldn't we just put Dan Snyder and Al Davis on a one-way flight on the Space Shuttle and have it explode on its way to the space station? That would improve the quality of two once-proud franchises exponentially, IMO.

Thanks, Dwight. Way to go out with a bang.
