Ok, i consider yesterdays baseball movie forum a success, so lets try it again. If you couldn't tell by the title, today's topic will be Best football movies, and later on we will move onto the worst. Here are my top 3 1)Rudy! I know it is over played alot and it the typical little guy story, and it is about my most hated college football team, but it is just a good movie. Favorite scene is were the entire team walks in the coaches office and gives up their roster spot for Rudy. 2) Any Given Sunday. it is a little onthe lengthy side and some of tthe made up teams are just wierd, but there is alot of good football in that movie. 3) The Replacements. it is not a great movie but just a fun movie to watch, especially when it gets played on TBS everyweek it seems like. Ok i turn the floor over to you guys. Thoughts, opinions?

Any discussion of football movies must include the Burt Reynolds classic, "The Longest Yard."

This movie was not only a great movie, but included actual football players like Joe Kapp and Ray Nitszchke in bit roles among the guards.

One of the best bits ever was when Richard Kiel clotheslined the guard coming through the line. With a big smile, he exclaimed, "I think I broke his f***ing neck." The trainer checks him out and says, "I think he broke his f***ing neck." Then Kiel gets this huge grin on his huge face and exclaims, "See? I told you I broke his f***ing neck." And then, just in case you haven't figured it out yet, the guy doing the play-by-play on the inmates' radio "network" shakes his head and says, "I think he broke his f***ing neck."

Easily one of the best football movies ever. The remake with Adam Sandler was lame, but the original will always be a classic.

I apologize in advance guys but this has got to stop. This type of post is taking things too far. I have called the GM at Journal in Omaha and will take action if vranged is not banned or doesn't willingly relent in his personal madness.

Enough is enough - I am posting this in several threads to expose it. Again, sorry you have to endure this crap.

It doesn't bother you that you wagered your child's soul to keep up a lie? Let me type that again. It doesn't bother you that you wagered your child's soul to keep up a lie.

THE DEFENSE RESTS! Your children should be taken from you. I'm not even saying that in the context of two people going at it on a message board. YOur children should literally be removed from your custody.

You are unstable, and you'll probably whore your daughter out for Husker tickets. I know that's a rough thing to say, but it's probably more acceptable than wagering her soul. Let me type it for the third time in the hopes that it registers with your unstable ass: It doesn't bother you that you wagered your child's soul. Amazing.

longest yard is up there on my list, it is a great movie, the remake cannot hold a candle to the original, but i do like Burt's Cameo in it.

I don't think I've seen a football movie that I didn't like, but these would probably crack my top 5.

1. Remember the Titans
2. North Dallas Forty
3. Longest Yard
4. All the Right Moves
5. Brian's Song

* 3 of these were done in the 70's.

Has anyone seen "Invincible" with Marky Mark Waulberg? Is it any good?

Also, after I see Leatherheads, my list might change. We'll see.
