| Seriously Nebraska a 3 seed in the NIT. They shouldnt even be in the tourny. Nitology had them as a 7 seed after the ncaa was announced and had them as a bubble to get in. Then they get a 3 seed in the easiest bracket none the less. Who did they pay off for that. |

| Shouldn't be in the NIT? If playing 8 NCAA Tourney Qualifying Teams and beating 4 of them including Texas A&M, Kansas State, Oregon, and Oklahoma, then who does deserve to be in? Oh and the other 4 teams in the Tourney that they lost to include Kansas (#1 Seed), Texas (#2 seedlost by 4 on the road), Baylor (lost by 2), and Western Kentucky (lost in OT). Let me guess how many Husker games have watched this year....1 and it was played at the Qwest Center. |

Are you kidding me? Are we really going to argue about this? IT'S THE FREAKING NIT, NO ONE CARES. |

| You are right nobody cares. Making the post season and building a program is pointless. And I guess every one of the 64 teams in the tournament are better than every team in the NIT. |

| Don't tell Creighton that. Then they couldn't tout all those years of post season play. |

You don't build you team on the post-season. The post-season is the result of how you built your program. |

The tunnel thinking has begun and once it get's a head of steam there is no stopping it. Going far in the NIT is a solid showing to take to recruits, especially if you had a bubble team that barely missed the big dance. Doc is building a program. |

A blanket statement like that egami can be challenged on so many levels. Really it just doesn't make alot of sense other than to show that you wanted to disagree with the new guy. Wanna try again or will use just travel par-for-the-course and attempt to defend that wide open statement? |

I think these NIT bids are very important to both programs.
For Nebraska, it's their first sniff at post-season under Sadler. The Huskers are on the upswing, and the pressures of any type of tournament will be good for the players, and good for the coaching staff. It's also good for the fanbase. They're taking steps to becoming relevant in the basketball world for the first time in a long time.
Creighton is a very young team. This type of experience will benefit them greatly too. That way, when they make the Final Four next year, they can say "We know what this is like. After all, we beat Rhode Island in the N.I.T. last year." |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

| OK, perhaps I went overboard by saying no one cares, but for CU fan to show up and throw a fit because of where NU is seeded is a bit ridiculous. Jeezus get over yourselves. |

That's pretty much the point I took from it. It's the NIT. Who cares. Be glad you're in the post-season and quit crying over seeding. |

I agree completely. I think Nebraska had a better year than Creighton, and I think I'm in the 1% minority of Creighton diehards who believe that. Creighton didn't beat anybody that mattered this year. Nebraska had 5 very good wins. It's funny -- when you mention that to a Blue Kool Aid drinker, they say -- "Well, we won head-to-head, so we're better." Then, I respond, "So, Nebraska was better than us last year, right?" Speechless. |

| I believe NU's power ranking is about 3 spots superior to Creigh'un......not sure what that actually means, but it's out there for ya! |

The uniqueness of both NU's and CU's current situation is they both have positive outlooks as a result of having young teams. I hear Doc has a solid but not fantastic recruiting class brewing and Dana also.
I look with gaurded optimism to the future for both teams. I would rate NU a little higher right now but my future outlook rates CU just a bit higher because the explosive nature of their young gaurds. Those guys can be exciting and if Dana can get them to do it consistently, lookout! |

| no, CU and NU are on opposite sides of the bracket. The only way they could meet each other is IF(and this is a pretty big IF) they both make it to the championship round ofthe NIT. however the chances of both team making it to the finals of the NIT are very slim. It would be fun though |

Was just on the road and listening to Matt interview Dana about the big NIT game tomorrow night, and I kid you not, this was his final question: "Dana, do you hope the fans will come out tomorrow night to support the Creighton basketball team?" Now what is Dana going to say? "Well Gee Matt, no I hope they don't." Good Grief Matt! |
