Well, I nailed this one.

Next question is how long until there is a Head Baseball Coaching vacancy in Lincoln?

It's been all down hill since Van Horne left.

Actually, the real slide began when Childress left.

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin

I see you haven't missed a beat Blackshirt. When Childress left - out the door went recruiting, relationships with players & vast coaching knowledge. Joba bolting didn't help either.

I didn't see hardly any football jerseys, but then again the people I was sitting by all had full nebraska baseball jerseys, and when I asked them who the huskers play this weekend they said this was their first game this year and they didn't know.

stay clueless husker nation...

Anderson isn't much for personality. I think it helps as we go along in life. Then again, many great coaches catapulted their way to fame with an ashtray of a personality. Juries still out...

Coach Dave Solich, I er mean Anderson is coaching on borrowed time.

I would be totally shocked if the Huskers make the NCAA if they don't win the Big 12 Tourney.

The loss to Creighton will certainly not endear Coach Anderson to the Lincoln crowd thats for sure.

However as a proud Jay fan and CU alum, I say good job "Jays".

I would imagine that Coach A might be feeling a little heat. If memory serves correct he has been leading the Husker program for about the same amount of time that Coach V had prior to leaving.

Didn't Van Horn leave for, what he saw as a better gig? I just don't see your point on this one Arbitrator. Having the same amount of tenure with the program doesn't equate the two. Van Horn left due to his success.....Anderson may be leaving due to his inability to relate to his players and coaches....if he leaves/gets fired at all.

Counting the Herd one hoof at a time.

That is a hilarious comparison Arbitrator. Who are you anyway? You say you are a CU alum...are you Matt's buddy the 3 point shooter from Lincoln that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn his Senior year? I don't even recall your name and am a Jay fan. Dave Van Horn is a real coach. A guy that can take trash and make it treasure. Anderson inherited a good team and rode Rob Childress' jock to some success. Well guess what? Van Horn recruits are gone and so is Childress. And walloh! It's magic! You have baseball's version of Frank Solich.

DMan,

I bleed BlueJay Blue, hopefully you don't expect to know all the CU graduates do you?

Regarding Anderson you're absolutely correct you cannot compare Van Horn to Anderson one is a very good coach and the other well lets just put it this way, "the proof is in the pudding" so to speak.

I agree with you regarding the Solich comparison however it appears that Mr. Dukester beat us both to it.

I personally could care less if a coaching change takes place in Lincoln, actually as a Jay fan I hope it doesn't happen.

If Mike Anderson starts getting compared to Sanders, THEN the program is really in trouble.
