| i hope they don't, i hope they get hot, and find a way to win down in ST Louis, but in all reality they are heading to the NIT, and while i am not expecting a high NIT seed, they might get a home game. Now you know whoever makes up the NIT seeding would love to play up the CU-Arkansas angle, and i have as feeling we would get smoke. But hey, at least we would be in the NIT. Now as for nebrasska, they would be lucky to make the NINIT, (Not invited Not invited tournement). Sorry, i am not sure what the name of that other tourny is |

There is a good chance this might happen. If it does great for Creighton and Omaha in general.
The post game show after the loss to Drake was embarrassing for me as a Creighton alum and Jay Backer. It seemed to be nothing but a bashing of Drake and their fans. This is a magical season for Drake and I wish them nothing but the best in the NCAA tourney. To say that Keno Davis will be leaving after this year is one of the most idiotic statements made yet, Matt might wish that he left or hopes that he leaves but I don't think it's going to happen this year. His father (Dr. Tom Davis) put the pieces in place and the things in motion for his son to become a head coach, will he eventually leave Drake, quite possibly but it won't be this year.
Drake has the opportunity to do something special during March madness that has not taken place since Larry Bird and Indiana State played for the Championship, if anything Mo Valley fans need to jump on the bandwagon.
Hats off to Drake for having the type of season I wish my Jays could have!

I heard some of Matt's post-game comments, and Creighton fans should be embarrassed to have such an ignorant homer representing them on the airwaves. The kind of season Drake has had, you have got to give them their props especially considering how long it's been for them to have this kind of success. Instead, Matt goes off on his usual post-defeat garbage tossing rant, and that's not the kind of thing that I would want representing me if I were a Creighton alum. It's a much classier operation than Matt Perrault represents as someone who is nothing more than a bandwagon-jumping jerk of a motormouth.
BS590 needs better public representation than what they now are dealing with. |

Friday afternoon's version of the Big Show was about as bad, Matt & Trav pretty much indicated "no way" will Creighton lose 3 times to Drake. Many of the homers jumped on the bandwagon and called, in fact one idiot called in and when talking with Matt almost became emotional when talking about Creighton and how they just had to beat Drake!
I can imagine many of them were crying in their beers last night!!!!!!
The national media not only luvs Drake but gives them the respect they deserve. Too bad the local yokels can't do the same!

Don you are an idiot!!!! 21 wins and you do not go to the nit. Not only will they go to the NIT they will also have a home game in the NIT. on a different note. i watched the drake/CU game. Drake is a good team, they don't beat themselves. They are a very well rounded team. The only thing i didn't like will watching the game, was the fact that the announcers had a hard for the emenecker kid, and yes i know i spelled his name wrong. i get it, its a feel good story, and nothing against him. former walk on w/4 majors. hell i went to NU for 5 years and only got one major, but it seems like every 30 seconds, the announcers would go off on some rant about this kids life story. you guys think Matt hasa love affair with CU? Didn't any guys pick up on the crush the announcers had? |

What did Perrault say, specifically, on the post-game show?
Not sure why you'd say anything bad about Drake. That team has as much resolve as any I've seen. They ALWAYS make the big shots. I was one of the people that thought Drake couldn't beat Creighton 3 times in the same season. I was wrong.

Without much doubt Creighton and NU are in the NIT. Creighton without a doubt...NU with only a little doubt (and I am an NU Alum and fan).
What is interesting is that the only site I have seen that does NIT projections, NIT-ology, has Creighton a 3-seed, NU a 6-seed facing off in the first round as of this morning. There was a similar projection a week ago - which switched for a few days based on NU's loss to UT. However, as of this morning, the projection is back.
So, should this guy's projection be correct, do they play it in the Civic? I *think* with the NCAA's coming to Omaha, the Qwest is out of question. Is that correct. I have not been to a basketball game at the Civic for a few years and cannot remember what the capacity is...anyone remember. |

| if you are wondering about any teams NIT seed, go to nitology.com. pretty fun site to look at. now with the NIT, if we do get a home game, i think the NCAA says ithas to be tuesday, and it has to be at the qwest. this is the NCAA tourney now, and they make the calls. From what i've heard, the CIVIC will not be used. i think their would be a conflict of intrest with a NIT game WED, followed by a NCAA game THURS. it would be fun to play ni the civic again. think 13000 season ticket holders and the Civic holds a little more than 9000. as for the post game comments, i just listened to all 4 post game podcasts, and matt wasn't that brutal to drake. if you listen, he seems more or less iritated with drakes fans. |

And like i've always said, if you don't like to what you are listening to, then change the channel. you are not being force feed, you are choosing to sit there and not change the station. is your radio broken and you only have 1 station. they are called presets, use them. |

| crusher, i think the new NIT rules make an effort not to early round rematches from ealer in the season. the key word is TRY, a NU CU rematch would bring in a big crowd and more money |

That's a dumb argument. If people generally like the format of a show that touts itself as Nebraska, Creighton, Chiefs and Royals centric and it's occasionally ruined for them because the host keeps homering on Boston just because that's where his interests are then it's a valid criticism. Maybe Matt is the one that needs to "change channel"...
I bet the Royals love their affiliate in Omaha giving 10 times BoSux coverage and I doubt that's much of a stretch. |

| well, sitting hear any typing on a message board will not get the job done. call/write into the station (not the show itself) and voice your displeasure with matt and the over all quality/direction of the show. if enough negative criticism is recieved, the sation mngt will be forced to change the format of lose listeners. just a heads up, i don't think station big wigs put to much thought into what people are writing on this message board, especially when it comes from the same 6-7 people. |

I am not saying you're completely wrong...that's largely why I don't listen anymore, but it IS a valid criticism of Matt. And, I did e-mail the station regarding that topic before I stopped.
You're right, if they are complaining here AND not writing in...then that's kind of pointless. Management won't listen to message board junkies.

| thank you for taking action, if their were more people like you who listened and changed the channel and took action, then more things would get done. my biggest gripe are the people who complain, and still tune in everyday. as for the whole boston thing. i myself am a casual boston fan, i am a royals fan first and always will be. you have know idea how many george brett and bo jackson cards i have in a shoe box some where. it would be nice to get more KC coverage. |
