I found this out there in cyberspace. Patriot fans apparently started this and the petition has gathered thousands of signatures. http://www.petitiononline.com/XLIItrut/petition.html Hoodie has got to be behind this! |

I read breifly the text. Are they questioning whether Jacobs got a first down or how the seconds left in the game were determined?
I guess I don't understand what these fans are asking. Or maybe I don't want to know.
The game is over and your team lost, get over it. |

Okay, I went back and read it again and understand.
It's not worth making a comment about in detail. Sour grapes if you ask me. Mistakes in officiating have and always will be a part of the game as long as they use humans to make the determinations. And since no robots have been introduced that could reduce or eliminate the imperfect call. Then I would say NE fans will have to take it in stride and hold hope for next season.
The way Eli was playing, he most likely would've found a way regardless. |

Based solely on my recollection of the game (I didn't read the above link), I don't remember there being any bad officiating calls. In fact, it was one of the things I commented on after the game -- there were no goats, there were no bad calls, there were no bonehead coaching decisions, etc. The Giants just made more plays than the Patriots, which is why it was one of the better Super Bowls I've ever watched (and I really don't like either team).
At the risk of generalizing, are we really surprised that New England sports fan is whining? |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

Okay, I had to read the thing.
As I recall, Jacobs barely got the first down.
The clock is stopped if the refs decide a measurement is needed. If I remember correctly, there was some discussion among the refs as to whether there should be a measurement, so the clock was appopriately stopped.
What do these idiots expect is going to happen? Is Goodell going to order the two teams to replay the last couple minutes of the 4th quarter? Quit crying. |

Patriot fans apparently have short memories. They were fortunate to get their first Super Bowl victory due to poor officiating on their behalf in the playoffs.
The Hoodie had 3 time outs left. Throw that little red flag out if you didn't like the spot. Good Grief! |

| If I remember right this isn't even a glitch at the stadium. It was a network glitch on displaying the clock on TV. |

| I'm really surprised THAT's the play they have a problem with. I'd figure it would be the "Miracle Play". Was Eli in the "grasp" and did the ground assist Tynes in catching that ball. I do not believe either were the case. |

| The real issue is that if the Pats didn't play like crap in the biggest game in NFL history it'd of never been an issue. |

| Now the true story comes out. Spector is pissed because his Pennsylvania teams were video taped. Let the hearings begin........cause there's nothing else going on in the country that deserves our tax dollars more. |

I think Arlene Spector is younger than Phil Spector even though Arlene is about 150 years old. |

Patriot fan really does have to find a way to move on.
Win some, lose some. They've become spoiled.
Sports is cyclical, what will happen in Boston when the losing comes back to Beantown? |
