I'm going to step in here and give my 2 cents worth on this subject matter. Do I believe Omahan is DMan? No. Do I think the man behind the personas of DMan and Omahan is the same person? I do.
Here's the deal. Since joining the fray, Omahan has kept his posts and arguments limited to sports....that is until today when he was essentially in combat mode due to the shots being taken at him.
Personally, I could care less who he is or who he is not, as long as he has something to add to the board. Essentially, we are all incognito here (and not Richie), but I do believe our true personalities shine through.
If you have a beef with Omahan, by all means voice it and argue it, but from my perspective, this IS a sports message board and I personally think we shoud try our best to keep it to that......well and an occasional Perrault bash...but that usually has something to do with something stupid he has said about SPORTS.
Carry-on........however you choose.

The OmaDman Conspiracy.
I think it's him. Why? A number of reasons...
- Posting style very similar in content
- Posting times similar
- Relentless denial of being Dman, seems odd, I'd just ignore it personally if that happened to me on a new board
- Arrival on scene too coincidental in relation to Dman banning
- Common phrases (uses similar words repeatedly as I seem to recall)
- Relentless style of replying to vranged
- The most revealing, the slip on the bitter journalist comment
Nonetheless, I agree with Crit....who cares. As long as it's not the deranged, multi-personality psycho-babble from before then just let it go. If the guy needs a new virtual identity for a clean slate that alone should be victory enough.
And, quite frankly, the Seachicken/Excuster merry-go-round could come to a permanent end as well...I swear it wasn't 24 hours after Dman's banning that that crap wasn't right back on the forefront again. |

Very well stated Crit40 and egami. And I do admit that I did dive into the pit of Ratville today.
Here's the deal: I am first and foremost a sports fan. Secondly, (like vranged) I like to debate and even more so like to control people. vranged will take this wrong but many times I have purposely typed text with the sole reason being to push his or someone else's buttons. (I know you're shocked!)
Today was different and thank you Crit40 for noticing. I do not wish to engage in that type of immature give and take. I'm not blaming anyone for luring me in either because we all know there is a vranged or an alcoholic ex-journalist in every crowd. (okay that was low wasn't it?) Even though this is cyber land and our identities are mythical and virtual, if you think you are not affecting someone then I would think again. Crit40 is right, to some degree who we are bleeds out, I can be mean spirited at times and love a good fight.
But 1st and foremost, I enjoy sports. That is why I come here. And that is the only reason I come here. The reason I don't blame for being lured is because I don't need to be lured, I am who I am. I will attack as ferociously as a pit bull and not apologize. I do not want that to occur.
Sports. Debates. Opinions.
I'm not going to grandstand and make a declaration of peace and all but I think you all have seen that I have good intentions but at the same time would never let a bully have his way. Problem is, I not only retaliate but I want to break their spirit and dissect their thoughts until they piss pictures of me. Typical man in some ways.
I'm gonna cool it. Take it like a man and keep my opinions on sports. |
