Kiper's current Top 25:

1. *Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas
2. Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU
3. Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College
4. Jake Long, OT, Michigan
5. Chris Long, DE, Virginia
6. Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC
7. *Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas
8. *Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio St.
9. *Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State
10. *Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon
11. *Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson
12. Kentwan Balmer, DT, North
13. Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy
14. Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
15. *Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas
16. *Calais Campbell, DE, Miami
17. Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
18. Mike Jenkins, CB, South
19. *Chilo Rachal, OG, USC
20. *Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois
21. Fred Davis, USC
22. *Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma
23. *DeSean Jackson, WR, California
24. Sam Baker, OT, USC
25. *Kenny Phillips, S, Miami

This will undoubtedly change some between now and draft day with all that goes on, but nonetheless...

It seems to me there is no clear number one. If I am the Dolphins I am probably stuck with the overall pick. Probably media pressured to consider Matt Ryan considering John Beck hasn't impressed much.

Yet, staring you in the face are McFadden, Dorsey, Long and others that would be attractive additions as well and arguably less of a gamble.

Kiper rates him similarly to Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers. Assuming he is deserving of such a rating...do you burn a #1 on him?

Will be interesting to see what Tuna the Master of Puppets does.

Personally, I avoid him with the #1 overall if I am Miami.

It would be interesting to hear their former coach Nutt render his opinion of McFadden and Jones and their chances of being stars in the NFL. McFadden got all the attention and Jones got all the stats. Jones should be a steal at 16 or higher.

Carl F*cking Petersen better not pass on Ellis if he's on the board.

If I'm Tuna, I think I bolster my draft by adding picks by trading that Number One. They have needs all over the place and one guy isn't going to make or break that team.

I agree, but tell me this...who is worth trading up for?

No one, imo. I think the Dolphins will be stuck with #1 or trading for a slightly less valued combo of picks, but I don't see that happening.

Interesting - only 1 QB projected in the 1st Round.

And I think he is over-ranked. Would not shock me at all if he falls like Quinn and Rodgers.

Ryan is another big QB with seemingly all the physical tools. Plenty of big time QB's in college, most are underclassmen. (Daniel, Oklahoma's frosh)

What about Colt Brennan? The guy won a competition of college QB's for distance this past weekend. Phenomenal numbers and good feet, must be early second rounder maybe due to this small time status at HU.

Brennan has a lot of question marks. He hasn't played in a pro-style offense. I think playing at Hawaii versus a BCS conference hurts. I haven't watched him enough to downgrade his mechanics too harshly, but he seems to throw a bit awkwardly and has a low release point.

However, he seems tough. If he can pick up the NFL offense I think he's got a chance...but I wouldn't take him very high. Definitely not 1st or 2nd rounder in my book.

While typing I had that same thought, but I still think they have got to try. They may have to move down quite a ways to get someone to bite, that has a special need, but depending on what they get in return, it may very well be worth the gamble.

But you're right. Right now, I can't even tell who that might be.

Oh, yeah, I agree...I think Tuna will be wheeling and dealing hard to try and make it happen.

Honestly, if I were them, I would consider ducking out of the first round...trade that pick for purely second round and beyond this time around.

Is a reincarnated Ricky Williams going to be available for Tuna?

I think they've got to write off Ricky Williams at this point. They do have a Cadillac though.

Chatman was serviceable. Can't hit pay dirt, but then again...I am not sure that was completely his fault.

I have heard some speculation that Tuna will probably look to deal aged All Pro DE Jason Taylor for an added 1st day draft pick. If this happens, which it is more likely than not, You may see Miami move down only a few spots in an attempt to gain some draft value and still obtain Chris Long out of Virginia to replace Taylor. I saw film on this guy the other night and he is a fricken animal.

Let the speculation and prognostication begin.

I didn't ask how many steps were there in AA....I would've summoned you by name for that crucial bit of information. I was asking who is the Miami Dophins current franchise player...anyone know?

I know it has been Richmond Webb in the past and Jason Taylor has been it before also.

They have not named one yet as far as I could tell from looking at the team's website and NFL.com.

And trust me...there are more steps in AA than you can count. And, yes, there are more than two...

Teams haven't all franchise tagged players yet. In fact, I can't think of one that has been already.
