...what prompts you to entertain potential NFL jobs with Atlanta and Washington?

Is he REALLY interested or just looking to up his college contract?

Funny you should create this thread when I just saw a peice on TV about Carroll's days in New England. (27-20)

Pete Carroll is a killer college coach. I think he is the type of guy that could take over Buffalo (no offense Mr. Gill) and have them playing in a BCS Bowl game inside of 4 years.

The NFL just isn't his game. He is a nice, decent, moral human being. The NFL is tailor made for crooks like hoodie.

I am not informed enough on the Bush/Carroll situation to comment.

What I will say is that when Norm Chow signed on accross town. Things changed. The magic man is back in LA. Only he is not a Trojan. Chow has that knack, that something that makes a coach innovative & special. And Carroll knows what Chow brings to the table.

If it isn't a "run before the castle falls" situation resulting from Reggie Bush's involvement, then I would guess that Carroll sees rough days in the 2-4 year future coming with Chow arriving at UCLA.

While not entirely impossible, I don't think a yearning for the NFL could be what beckons him.
