Let me be the first here: New York. Eli Manning and company will need to methodically control the ball and a resurgent pass rush led by sack king Michael Strahan will have to show up or else this prediction won't hold water. Pats are beatable, everything will have to fall into place for that to happen though. |

Eli has now proven himself capable of winning big games, the underdog in this game has given us hope that the Pats can be beaten. Anything is possible! |

You've been saying that for the last 3 weeks. |

| I'm going to go with NY, not because of Eli Manning, but because of the never say die attitude. |

No, actually the last two weekends picks I've said that the games could go either way. I didn't say anything about Eli failing two weeks ago and this past week I said he's "due for a let down". So, this is really the first week I've came out said he is going to fail. |

I still like the Patriots, and I'm making peace with my Maker because Eli Manning actually got to a Super Bowl as a starting quarterback.
Sunday was by far the Patriots' worst outing of the year, and I think two weeks to rejuvenate and prepare, and a game in a warmer climate, will benefit them more than anything else. I think the only way they lose this one is if Brady craps the bed and plays as bad or worse than he did against the Chargers Sunday.
Having said that, the Giants have proven that they are a team that is not just going to go away. They are a resilient bunch and Manning has finally figured out that by managing a game, he can actually give his team a better chance of winning the game than they would if he would try to be a carbon copy of his big brother and be a big-time player.
Pats win by 10 and finish the deal, 38-28. |

10 in a row on the road. Wins AT Dallas, and at THE FROZEN TUNDRA in Arctic temperatures.
The question on everybody's mind -- is egami impressed yet? |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

I look at it this way...if Wrex Grossform can get to a SB, just about anyone can. At least this year the NFC has a chance to win. |

| I want the Giants to win for the sole purpose that Perrault said "A Manning will never win the Super Bowl" and it's possible they could win 2 in a row....plus it'll end his Pats' precious streak. |

| You really compare Eli to Grossman? The Bears got to the Super Bowl IN SPITE OF Grossman, needing to overcome all his horrendous play. Manning, on the other hand, has played really well. Giants wouldn't be here without him. |

Damn, that's about as good of an argument you can make for rooting for the Giants. Heh. |

That statement didn't compare Eli to Wrex. I've done that recently here, though, I am sure you saw it in its context. If not, it's out there... |

You must've watched yesterdays half time show! When they were saying that I was like "That's so a BS590 MB skit". |

I never really hated the Pats until Matt Perrault introduced them to the 7 state midland media market.
I did state in another thread that I felt whoever won the NFC would win the Super Bowl, and I'll stick with that prediction. No way do the Pats go undefeated. |

Fixed that for you. The Pats win and win big. Unfortunately for the seven-state midland media market. |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |
