I don't know...if taken literally, as no doubt Matt took it as he is such a crybaby on things like that, then yes.
However, this is common Internet-style message board, e-mail flaming that is pretty harmless.
And, let's face it...that e-mail just wasn't Dman's style. He would've of said something more revealing.

OK, for the record, I just received an email from DMan that contained a copy of the actual email that Matt forwarded to him, and the last name and the email address doesn't match up with the ones I have for DMan, so it's entirely possible it wasn't him who did it. He's denying it, so in his defense, there's a chance that it's an amazing coincidence, or maybe it's one of you fuggers who did it. I don't really know now.
I suppose the local FBI doesn't have anything better to do. I'll bet they can track down the culprit via computer forensics.  |

well besides the fact that you bunch of failed abortions that call yourselves "members" of this board have a collective I of about 10, I don;t really see why he would come here.
does anyone know this guy? i bet he gets a bunch of hot chicks with his "in your face attitude". probably pretty popular in high school as well. the only thing about him which is a bit off is his user name, the redsox 1918 makes it seem like he may have been birthed from the anus of matt perrault. either way, he seems like a mature and insightful young man. |

He used to call in to the show all the time and rub Matt's nuts and Matt made special exception to one of his "rules of the show" that people weren't supposed to have aliases calling in. He then became officially enshrined as Matt's pet and would often call in with these pathetically scripted psuedo-Rome is Burning rants.
They had many romantic get aways together at local BS590 events. Then, one day, Matt called him on the carpet on air and it has been downhill ever since for the person who seeks definition by an alias centered around the consumption of alcohol.
I suspect you can find him slumped over the counter at one of the local pubs around 8:30 tomorrow morning...unshowered and hung over, of course, waiting for the public library to allow him passage once more so he can share his wisdom here.
He would post on the Internet from home, but his Mom took it away.

For the record, I'd much rather be up at 1:47 AM then 7:00 AM. It means I'm having more fun.
That being said, you're right. Many here are fascinated with Dwight. What Hitler is to evil, Dwight is to being pathetic. Seriously, he's that bad.
But it's strange that you defend him when really there's no reason for you to respond one way or another, since you allegedly don't know who we're talking about. Things that make you go hmmmmm....

Been there also many times, very close to some of the dorm towers, good food and drinks and it gets a good crowd at night.

That's a fair assertion, vranged. You really tore into him pretty violently based on that assumption. Granted, you could still be right, but I have to admit as time as gone on I think he's demonstrating a fair amount of non-Dman-eqsue response.
And, somewhat unfortunate that for him that his first replies were bad timing in terms of Dman getting booted from the board and they way the paralleled some of Dman's posting style.  |

I actually had a chance to listen to the podcast of this topic in question, and while I feel bad for Matt having to receive e-mail from such a pathetic, worthless turd (Go home and die??? sounds like something a fourth-grader would say), I have to say that he made a mistake in devoting even one second to this e-mail that he received from "Dwight" the other day.
The worst thing you can do, as somebody who is in the public eye such as Matt is, is give those crackheads one SECOND of acknowledgment. Idiots like that are trying to get under your skin, and they figure by sending you notes like this they will do so. You can read it and file it away in the trash bin, and he'll never know whether you read it or not. But to bring his mental midget note on the air and then spend an entire segment on it? Now he KNOWS he's got your goat and it will only encourage him, and others like him, to do the same.
I remember from back in my journalism days a letter I received from an anonymous reader who said I was "going to die from AIDS" from kissing so-and-so's ass. It was a four-page, handwritten letter filled with nothing but wild ramblings and I laughed out loud as I read it. I know who wrote the letter and had several public interactions with the individual over the years, and not once did I mention the letter or even acknowledge to him that I received it.
I'm not a big fan of Matt, but I'm not going to haul off and knock out a 200-word hate-filled note to him to let him know and tell him to "go home and die." I would encourage him, though, to thank those who listen (whether they like/agree with him or not) and disregard those like "Dwight" whose only lot in life seems to be to prove to the world what a pathetic waste of protoplasm they are. Giving that moron one second of airtime is the dumbest thing ANY on-air personality can do. |

Exactly, Seachicken...totally agree.
Just like when he got called on the carpet for his comments on his ex-girlfriend and made a bunch of retarded replies on a message board then went back and edited them out. This is my biggest issue with Matt...he takes it personal and then additionally entertains it publicly. There are numerous instances of this in his short time in Omaha.
Perrault loses by default in this scenario.
The dumbest thing about it...you can't even prove it was from "Dman". Maybe he doesn't make that assumption on air...I would speculate that's exactly what he thought though. |

I still can't figure out why Matt is so strongly disliked on this board. I've said it for a long time now. We are LUCKY to have a talent of this caliber in Omaha, Nebraska.
I tell all of my friends, who unfortunately don't seem to have heard of Matt, that he's terrific, but I'm having a hard time swaying them too.
I love his show, and if this kind of negativity both on and off air continues, I fear we're going to lose this budding star to another market. Then what do you have in Omaha?
I'm not even a Bluejay fan (which makes the content difficult these days, since the show is 95% Bluejay talk) but I still enjoy listening to Matt and crew put on a fine show!
Good luck, Matt. I hope someday you land in a market that appreciates your talent!

| i think bigreddave is grand mamma perrault's screen name. calling matt a "budding star" is like calling madonna's vagina "pristine". i don't care for matt's show and i really don't like the blue jays. i listen occaisionally to hear the train wreck which is matt & travis from 2-6 everyday on BigDorks 590. |

I sent Matt an e-mail the other day offering some constructive criticism regarding "Dwight" and morons like him.
Judging from the reply back, I'd have been better off spending my time giving the neighbor's cat a colonoscopy with a garden hose.
