| I will admit though...it's nice seeing a QB that can throw up weight like that. Quite honestly it's probably going to make him more durable than the average QB. It's also going to gain him some credibility with his o-line when he is in there taking reps with them without changing plates. This is one of the things that I've really liked about him that I think the general analyst either dismisses or plainly overlooks. |

Who? My pre-season RoY candidates are (barring injury): 1. Adrian Peterson 2. Calvin Johnson 3. Anthony Gonzalez (Quinn could sneak in the top 3, but lets face it...he isn't going to start enough) |

"Perhaps the worst thing that can happen is to reach into the refrigerator and come out with something that you cannot identify at all. You literally do not know what it is. Could be meat, could be cake. Usually, at a time like that, I'll bluff. "Honey, is this good?" "Well, what is it?" "I don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It looks like...meatcake!" "Well, smell it." (snort, sniff) "It has absolutely no smell whatsoever!" "It's good! Put it back! Somebody is saving it. It'll turn up in something." Thats what frightens me. That someone will consider it a challenge and use it just because it's in there." -- George Carlin |

He's looking very good in pre-season, however... Posted By Logan on 08/20/2007 12:45 PM he did look impressive but it is only pre-season.
This is still a valid point. |

| Might be tough for Quinn to win ROY from the bench (since Crennel said he won't be starting the opener), but if anyone can do it, a Notre Dame alum can.... |

After acknowledging that he was desperate, Dwight said "people will resort to saying things they know aren't true when they are desperate." That about sums it up! |

Best case scenario, I would anticipate Quinn to be starting around week 4 when they, at best, are sitting at 1-3 having lost division home games with their incumbent. Just my guess on what may be the likely best case scenario. Although, they have to have 2 QB's fail miserably for that to even happen and I am betting they want Quinn to stay off the field as long as possible to assimilate things. |
