| omon broke the 7000 yard career mark and is the leading division 2 rusher this season (danny who) and had 292 yards rushing in the game. xavier wasn't even a harlan hill award candidate this season (pitt state and uno must have too much political influence over that award). if he's not the best player in d2 then someone needs to tell me who is. |

Good to get that Grand Valley monkey off their backs. Who are they playing for the title? Valdosta State?

Suppose Jim Svaboda wishes he had stayed put an NWMS? Goes to coach the big-time at UCLA only to have Coach Dorrell throw him under the bus 1 year after winning the OC of the Year Award the previous season.
Now he's somewhere in Montana? Tjeerdsma's name ought to be popping up for some of these D1 jobs along with Grand Valley's Martin. My cousin's boy played for Grand Valley last year. He's an excellent coach. |

yes, northwest is playing valdosta st., ga. the game kicks off at 11 am central and will be televised on espn2.
joel osborn is the qb and went 20-25, 238 yards, 1 td.
drank a few beers with svaboda about 10 years ago at the pub in the ville, he was a really nice guy and very knowlegdeable. |

unlike the bills the bearcats have won 2 titles. they had gvsu beat 2 years ago only if a receiver could catch a ball that hits him in the numbers. |

True, they do have a couple of rings, but those were approaching almost 10 years ago. They've lost two in a row and a third would really sting.
Good luck to the Bearcats. I might have to dust off my NWMS cap on Saturday. I'm sure my buddy will want to get a viewing party going.
