Go ahead and believe what you want, you simple-minded, envy-overridden pathetic soul...because when (not if) that day comes, you will forever be the whipping boy of each and every Husker fan in this state.

And Iowa's rebuilding job will go on for yet another half-century...

That day will not happen, not ever. So just keep telling yourself "Dukester is right until proved wrong", "Dukester is right until proved wrong".

It's my fault," said first-year Nebraska coach Bo Pelini. "Damn right, yes, I'm embarrassed. I apologized to the team. I apologize to the state of Nebraska. I apologize to everyone associated with Nebraska football.
"It's my responsibility. I was hired to do a job and I didn't do the job, I'm just not a very good coach.

It's a fact, not just something to "hang a hat on".

Unlike you, Dukester deals with facts.

And the facts are "I am right and always will be right about this until he wins a Big 12 Title which by the way he will never do".

Seeing as how you not only know so little about Nebraska football, but have such a deep-seated hatred for it...anything you say here isn't worth the bandwidth it's taking up.

Let me interpret your response,

Spin - Flip - Flop - avoid answering a direct question - change the subject - call names - Flip - Flop!

That was a pretty accurate interpretation wasn't it?

You don't even have the balls to make a post on what you think he will do.

Don't bother to respond just put on the dress, you earned it!

He'll do better than your pathetic little mind will allow you to comprehend...that's all that needs to be said.

But you're about to come up with something mindless and pathetic, so don't let me stop ya'...

Wow what a prediction, "he'll do better than you expect" thats going out on a limb there buddy boy!

Spin - Flip - Flop - Spin - avoid answering questions - change the subject = typical GSpot response!

Just say, Dukester was right again! It would probably be good therapy for you!

I just said he's going to do better than you think. No spin, no flip-flop...just the simple truth.

Which, obviously, is far beyond your reach in comprehension...

Better in what way? How long until this "state of better" becomes reality?

Simple...which I know you can't grasp...he's going to do better than you believe he will do. You believe he will suck and be out of a job in four years. I believe he will do much better than that...I don't know how that can be so difficult for even a simple-minded dolt like you to guess, but I suppose I'm incapable of dropping my logic to that low a level to fully understand your pathetic mind.

I never said suck, I said he will be fired within 4 years and never win a Big 12 Championship.

You said he will do better and I asked, how?

You as usual won't man up and give me any type of concrete response.

I win - you lose.

He will win one more Big 12 title than you think he will win.

Which means, either way, you lose again.

So, if Dukester said NU will, under Bo, go 8-4 and Bo under performs in his 1st season, Dukester will be right, correct?

That said, I'm looking at next year's schedule and I'm seeing 5 - maybe 6 losses are very possible. Not good for a 1st year, 1st time head coach. If NU was smart, they'd have kept Beau on (with a massive overhaul of the coaching staff) to sacrifice next season and brought someone new in after '08 so they actually had a chance...

Word is that Bo Pelini flew into Lincoln this morning and is meeting with players at 2:30. A news conference to announce his hiring is set for 4 p.m. according to the Lincoln Journal-Star.

I wonder if he took a plane or just flapped those "dumbo ears" he has attached to that big head of his?

Oh reideen...don't give Dukie that much credit. In his feeble little mind, he doesn't think Pelini will win eight games in FOUR seasons, never mind one.

And in my mind -- and those of most logical-thinking football fans, regardless of team affiliation -- it's not reasonable to think he's going to take a 5-7 team and win a Big 12 title with it the following year (although Husker fans certainly wouldn't turn that down). With the schedule next year (KU, Mizzou, OU, Texas, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech) and the returning talent, it might be enough for this team to go 5-7, 6-6 or 7-5 and have it be considered a step forward.

If Pelini does nothing else next year, he will certainly change the mindset of this program. There will be a lot more passion shown by this team next year and they will play with a lot more fire than they did under Callahan. Teams won't score at will on us in 2008 the way they did this past season, you can count on that. And our coach won't stand there with his spectacles down on his nose, staring at his play sheet and gazing up at the scoreboard as if he's waiting for the latest numbers from Wall Street.

This team WILL win a Big 12 title under Pelini, though. Probably not in 2008, but it will happen sooner than the naysayers believe.

I'm not implying that anyone should think that - although, Dukester might...

So, you think 'sker fan won't be screaming for Gill at the end of next season if Bo goes 5-7? I can't wait to see the chaos that ensues...

The intelligent ones won't...remember, there were people that were critical of Osborne when he was going undefeated and winning national titles, so there are those out there who lack the intelligence or perspective to be knowledgeable football fans...and, believe it or not, there are some who actually are NOT Iowa football fans.
