| Word is that Bo Pelini flew into Lincoln this morning and is meeting with players at 2:30. A news conference to announce his hiring is set for 4 p.m. according to the Lincoln Journal-Star. |

Who would have ever thought Nedraska football would have sunk to a level that they could not have attracted a coach that actually was a head coach at a major university.
I fondly remember when Frank was fired, every name in football even the NFL was being bantered about as at that time the Nebraska job was a plum job, however that is not the case anymore.
If it is Bo Bo, that laughing sound you hear is the rest of college football rolling around on the floor, that spinning sound you will hear is Bob Devanney spinning in his grave.
Mediocrity meets Bo, in 4 years Calliecan'ts tenure will be remembered as the "good old days".
Message to T.O. this is what happens when you go the "cheap route"!

Funny...Nebraska hired an assistant coach back in 1973 that didn't fare too bad.
Of course, Iowa's rebuilding project was only in year 17 at the time... |

No it doesn't...and what's so funny is how quick you are to judge somebody before they've had a chance to barely sign the contract.
Maybe you should be more concerned with the underperforming Kirk Ferentz and his future as IoWHAT??? football coach. That rebuilding project is a half-century in the making, after all... |
